i have played on 95417 for a good while and it didn't change anything for me, i heard the same from friends and different people.

while other players found the weapon damage nerf to happen on this exact patch.

just yesterday, after installing 95724 (i think it was), i noticed it now takes me 4 revolver bullets to put a zed down.

it seem to be purely random which weapon damage value is applied to which player.

tested 1.60+ 95777, 1911 kills zeds in one hit. what is your version of arma, witout beta patch? i suppose its 1,62.

after some pvp action, i can say that this also applies to players: i killed a guy with enfield with one shot in the chest. he wasnt low on blood, because i found a cooked meat in his pack. on the other hand this also applies to damage that you take: on shot from enfield dropped me from 11k blood to 800+bleeding+unconsciousness. or that guy also was running 1.60 :)

Actually that would make sense.

now i can confirm that rolling back to 1.60 undo weapon nerf agains all targets.

if you get hit by a guy with lee enfield, that runs 1.60 you wll die instantly.

if you get hit by a gue with lee enfield that runs 1.60 you might survive the hit.

no matter what patch you are running.

They're beta patches, when the patch is final I doubt you'll be able to roll back and get more damage.

if they will change files that responsible for weapon damage in beta patch(i highly doubt they will), i`ll still be able to replace them with old ones, manually(if i wont be lazy to dig and do it). and its all because this files has nothing to do with games version and devs are to lazy to add file consistency check for mandatory game files.

So...with that attitude, you're posting this... so other can cheat too?

pretty much yes. its like hacking - the more attention it has the higher chances that it will be fixed.

other engines simply dont allows user to do this or have files consistency check, and such thing only allowed on certain server.

this wont be fixed in current version of engine(why bother if arma 3 will be soon?), but i hope rocket will add some restriction to file change in standalone.

thank you for support. i hope someone deliver this info to BIS, and they will fix, and change their patch policy, to what other games have:

files on server side and user side doesnt match - connection denied.

Why don't you deliver it yourself?

Here: https://dev-heaven.n...ts/cis/wiki/CIT

Reporting an exploit would be a whole lot better than showing people how to do it.

bumpety bump the **** bump.

fix your FAIL BIS!

fix the ****ing weapons!

This is not the BIS forum actually. This is: http://forums.bistudio.com/

Why don't you take your bumpety-bump over there?

Reporting an exploit would be a whole lot better than showing people how to do it.

the are few reasons for that:

1 this was only tested inside DayZ mod, and i`m not sure how this affects original game

2 highly doubt this issue will be addressed(to complete change of policy about beta patches and file check)

3 i dont care about arma itself

if you are able to report - feel free to do so.

people who simply ignored/dont know about 1.62 patch, have same advantage as me. would you call them exploiters?
