wolfstriked 143 Posted August 6, 2012 I say this all the time...make the game harder to survive. If you are struggling to survive you will not have this end game as end game is you starting over.
paney 23 Posted August 6, 2012 We can forgive you for not knowing what that something isWhat we can't forgive you though is not knowing what "Alpha" meansI know it's a cookie-cutter argument...but...complaining about lack of endgame content in an Alpha....really?Using "Alpha" argument on this forum makes me think about Godwin's law. If you don't have anything constructive to add you should just remain silent.
Bigtaff 23 Posted August 6, 2012 it feels like rocket is losing his ambitious attitude, over time his update come slower and slower. the game should be already in beta now considering the amount of players.rocket should already decide what his stand alone engine will be but he is still wishy washy. his competition will capitalize on this.rocket should already receive a dedicated team and he should be giving out orders left and right, if he doesnt have a team under his control biohemia is just being way too cheap and he should be looking at other publishers willing to sign and fund this project.I think he's not worried about the mod anymore and is focusing on the standalone, thats going to be his bread and butter
haviv[3rdid] 57 Posted August 6, 2012 Your goal should be the same as Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan. Don't just sit around in your safe little spot in the forest. Take over the entire bloody island and make yourself the king!
BaitedHook 24 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) Stand-alone DayZ comming later this year. What more ppl want from him?????? He is not dumb cockroach but he is indeed very smart person. Its not even funny anymore how people who have no damn idea about whats going on with development or watever how everything works thinking that they are smarter then Rocket and telling him what to dohow else would game developement work if everyone tries to do their own thing and without coordination? rocket is a "lead developement" and would like to be called that stated in the machinima interview. its pretty common sense that at this point rocket should be ordering and bossing people given to him by bohemia and not be stuck fixing and coding like he says like everywhere in his other interviews?everything is common senseand @Bigtaffyea he should pool 100 percent of his resource now to his stand alone, if he picks a decent engine tailored to his need 90 percent of the problems here would be solved (alt f4, duping, animation) notice i didnt say hacking because hacking has and will always be part of gaming. MastaOfDisasta 30 Posted August 6, 2012 I have an M249 SAW, 2 belts of ammunition, some friends, and a map that tells me where Green Mountain is. If only I had the creative initiative to figure out how it all fits together...

Prion 61 Posted August 15, 2012 (edited) Didn't think a zombie sim would become minecraftahh but it can. i really hope that these underground forts can be built anywhere, and it surely sounds like something that's coming true.Firstly, the Day Z standalone, which Hall anticipates arriving before the end of the year, could eventually have “instanced” building. Hall described how he saw the future of player-driven construction in the game consisting in underground bases that would be instanced from portals (“a grate in the ground”) across Chernarus. He described how players could dig it out, concrete it, building hydroponics, or even see it collapse on them. Edited August 15, 2012 by Prion
