The mod was created almost two years ago, it's still an alpha. Even it was abandoned it should be at least in beta stage... I believe the same thing will happen to SA. So far we can all see that it's not a separate game, created from scratch, but just a mod for ARMA3 which engine is not prepared to run a mmo zombie apocalypse game. Devs are experiencing the same problems Rocket was a year, or year an a half ago. Something completely different was promised, just to remind. Moreover it was promised to be ready and playable a year ago! December 2012! A year later, we still have an alpha... The biggest issue is that even it's a mod it's being advertised as a completely different game which has to be bought separately. In my opinion it's unfair. Honestly I don't believe that this project will be ever completed. I don't know the reasons behind all of this plus i don't want to point fingers, because i have been enjoying DayZ mod since it's very beginning, but clearly there is something wrong with DayZ developing model.

It will still be a deathmatch. Current changes will not affect the number of bandits. I would even say that now killing carebears for their gear will be more common, as looting is not so easy anymore. The OP should not play an online game, where PvP is allowed if he's so upset with being killed which is main reason he started this topic. BTW i like the changes, because they make game more challenging i just don't like the OP's argumentation, as it's pretty dump and comes from pure frustration.

Just go for single player games man. Multi is obviously not for you.

Term "realism" should not be used when relating to zombie apocalypse. It's just a game taking place in fictional country and situation which main purpose is to provide fun not to simulate the real world.

If not bandits or PvP in general this game would be totally pointless as every person of average intelligence can avoid/kill/run away from zombies after 10 hrs of playing and watching two youtube tutorials. Gearing up or even finding a vechicle when you have some experience is pretty quick and easy. I don't have a camp, I play alone and even that I always have to gear up from beginning when spawned, after several hours of playing I'm looking for some action by myself which for me means KOS.

Just being a dick to the camps that have satchel charges stored (How stupid you need to be to keep smth like this), and most of them got like 5 NVG's, Rangefinders, and few pieces of high-end sniper rifles inside too. So I believe they belong to dupers.

I started to play DayZ again, after the last patch. Not so much as before but still quite a bit. Anyway - I've been looking for a car on my home server. It means I've been exploring outskirts hoping to find one in the bushes. During my search I've found like 6 camps. 4 of them got satchel charges inside. So i blow them up. My question is if the camps will be back after a restart or they're gone for good? I don't know if I'm trolling properly or just wasting my time...

I've been finding Bizons on almost every crash site. Really. Sometimes even 2 or 3 pieces with 3-4 mags each. I never pick it up because it's shitty as hell.

Patch released yesterday, waiting for the next one to run the game, because too afraid of loosing gear easily findable in any camp. I'm truly impressed. Edit: It's even funnier when you realize that next patch will be out in a month,or two, or never even if its scheduled for next week.

Wipe all the camps and all the gear except this currently on characters, delete tents and trunks from the game. Playing this mod is pointless now. I hate myself for knowing where the camps are, and where people hide their vehicles. I don't enjoy the game anymore. One challenging thing that left is PvP. And anyway if I die I just need to run to the nearest known camp and gear up. I don't even have my own tent. I don't need it. It's not a survival mod anymore - that's for sure.
