NVG's - after fixes

Okay, once the characters are all reset (let's face it, it's gonna happen). And the duping problem is fixed.

Either make NVG's way the fuck more common, and drop in more places, or remove them altogther.

Why? Because they encourage server hopping in the extreme, and they give an invincible edge to any player who has them on a night server.

NVG's right now are just for dupers and the people who server hop/loot farm at the barracks. Which is one spot on the map.

Sure, there are helicopter crash sites, but how many of you have actually found NVG's there? Short answer: barely ANYONE.

And once duping is gone, NVG's will be literally impossible to find. Right now, because of the dupers, there are a few sets rolling around, either from the dupers themselves, or people who kill the dupers and take their shit/raid their camps, whatever. This population will evaporate once fixes are put in and the HIVE is reset.

Make them a low chance drop in ALL military loot spots.

Just found my second pair of nvgs from a heli crash, out of about 6 unlooted helis. Pretty good odds. They are rare, but deal with it.

I don't get it. You say that they need to make NVGs more common but they are pretty common considering how valuable they are. Also of course they give the person wearing them an edge in servers at night time if they didn't they would just be called........goggles. I can honestly say I find a pair of NVGs at least every other day of playing. Don't try to suggest that they do anything with the spawn rate of them just because YOU don't have any.

up to to 4 pairs so far actually

and 2 L85s

and like 10+ AS50s

get a vehicle on a 4-6 hour reset server, game becomes ez mode

you sir, aren't really thinking... are you?... they might just as well make every night as lit up as day if everyone anyways got nvg... i have never myself had nvg yet, but it HAS to be really rare.....

At the last two or three downed helo's I've looted, I got 1x NVG's, 1x FN FAL, 1x M14 AIM, 1x MK 48 Mod 0, 1x M240, 1x M249 and 1x DMR. The ones I chose to equip are the M14 AIM and the DMR.

If you're not finding stuff at the downed helo's, they must already be looted. Play on low populated servers <20 and you'll find unlooted downed helo's...

Also, NVG's are rare for a reason, it should become a privilege to be able to see in the dark. This adds to the end-game content as you will now have the nights to play in, whilst others do not, unless they want to risk dieing.

The only time I change servers is if a hacker shows up. Btw I find so many pairs because I spend a lot of time on the outskirts of majority of the towns and always end up finding tents with amazing gear including the NVGs. That or I just kill a player for theirs and now it seems like you have a better chance of getting them off a dead body than in one of the spawn locations.

Seriously though, they're not that helpful when the gamma and brightness exploit does just as well a job and doesn't limit your FOV.

Well sir, MY VERY FIRST pair of NVGs were found on a crash site. My second on a body. I play since May 14th, the two NVGs I ever found were found during this very week.

Okay WTF now, they want to reset the HIVE ?? Srly ?? That's the stupidest thing ever, cause natural selection would do the trick, your sir is stupid and therefor the above sentence is from you and you only.

My friends found NVG's at electro supermarket. Apparently its like a 0.01% chance (srs). But no I like the rarity of it. -1 to this thread.

Actually I don't necessarily mind removing NVGs, but then put some accessible search lights on the rooftops of the larger towns. . . Maybe tie them to a generator a survivor has to do make some minor repairs and supply gas to get them to work?

It could add some odd shadows to the game and make running about some of the cities a bit more interesting with the zeds about. *shrugs*

Otherthings I wouldn't mind seeing some of those searchlights mounted on the helos too or in the back of pickups, infact why aren't there a few technicals anyway? The Sundat seems to be a fine carrier of tripod stuff and it looks a bit worn too.

Or hell maybe even supply a roll of tape so a survivor can attach that flashlight to their rifle. But to me flashlights are just about useless, since I'm normally carrying enough gear to fill all the slots in my pack. So dropping my pistol for it just doesn't seem logical.

But then again either way it dosen't matter to me. All I know is any lights you try to carry make you sniper bait rather fast.

Also I think I got my first set of NVGs off of a helo. . .
