It sucks to not know where you are and where to go, especially when you're just starting. I know people used to have Chernorus map opened in another window, but with last update I dont think you can shift tab on steam in this game any more.

Well you can still print the map. I tweaked it so that it produces satisfactory results on photo paper and fine printing in 300 dpi on A4. Get it from here: http://killzonekid.com/arma-2-dayz-chernorus-map/

See...this kind of shit needs to go away. Loot needs to be randomized so that players can't create cheat maps for a survival game.

It's fucking logical for military loot to spawn where it does(bases), medical loot where it does(hospitals and field hospitals), and mid level guns and shit where it does(houses/barns). These maps are just highlighting the buildings where these things are logically placed. Why would loot be randomly placed in a survival situation? You'd go to the hospital if you needed some meds.

I guess he likes surprises finding stuff where he would have never though it'd be. Nothing wrong with that, and could be achieved by adding probability to loot spawn. Like 90% medical supplies will spawn in a hospital and 10% in supermarket (chemist) or even firestation (first aid?) But then you can already kill someone and loot them, how that for a surprise? :)
