So, until darkraven123's post is back up, i am posting the effects and activity of battleye daily in this thread, with screenshots of global ban and detection reports. NO sensitive information will be shared here, no help on finding cheats, or where the screencaps are coming from.

EDIT: I hope this is okay moderators, i have left out all sensitive information. A lot of misinformation goes around the forum about battleyes effectiveness, this is purely to redirect people here to see battleyes activity.

This will eventually be added to Darkrevens post and updated there.

28th of june 2012 - Public script executer released - Detection Status : Detected on 10th of july

6th of july 2012 - Public Bypass released - Detection Status : Detected on 11th of July

15th of july 2012 - Public Script Executor with bypass released - Detection Status : Detected on 16th of july

1st of august 2012 - Public Script Bypass released - Detection Status : Detected on 2nd of august

1st of august 2012 - Public Script Executor released - Detection Status : Detected on 2nd of august

5th of august 2012 - Public Script Executor released - Detection Status : Detected on 5th of august(4 hours after release)

7th of august 2012 - Public Script Executor with bypass released - Detection Status : Detected on 9th of august

9th of august 2012 - Public script executor with bypass released - Detection status : Detected on 11th of august 2012

14th of august 2012 - Public script executor with bypass released - Detection Status : Detected on 15th of august 2012

Currently, roughly detections since start of timeline.

Yes, but a PM would be fine.

-EDIT- I'm keen to see what BE are up to that's all, it's nice to know what changes are going on. Especially since admin tools are limited. I resort to trawling through logs that are thousands of lines long... it's also nice to see cheating asses get banned. It'd also be nicer if it was easier to submit bans to members of staff.

It's particularly strange when you realize exploiting in this game brings 0 profit. It's not an MMO and there is no RL item value, so people basically rebuy only to ruin others' gaming experiences -- odd.

While this is very understandable, it is -- I hope -- equally clear that even if the team had any advance intel of what BattlEye was up to, we could not communicate this since it is not just you and other good people who're interested, but also the people who wish to cheat.

No, your GUID is generated on the BE server when it reads the hash of your CD key.

He didnt reinstall the game properly then. You can always get "around" a ban by purchasing a new license

I wonder if hackers buying multiple copies means that hacking is profitable for the folks at Arma2. I hope that hacking is a problem rather than a potential water hole.

When a hacker gets globally banned by BattlEye his GUID gets banned, meaning he is not able to join any BattlEye server. In order to play again, he needs to purchase a new copy of OA.

But It's not really profitable for the devs since the script kiddies piss many other player off - The Image of the Game can be ruined due hacking.

Anyone interested in how hackers think should do a few google searches and read what they talk about on their forums. These guys are just doing what they do best, and sharing the things they learn with other like-minded people. They speak to each other with far more respect and courtesy than a lot of the folks on this forum do. What is perhaps surprising (or unsurprising, depending on how cynical you are) is that they don't get paid to do it. They do it purely because they can. Every Battleye update is a new challenge for them. Seriously, they make the pros look like amateurs. It is their passion, just like reading forums and feeling superior by insulting strangers, is some other people's passion.

Of course they're nice to each other on their forums, everyone has something they want, a piece of the puzzle if you will. Its cool that its their passion, hope they enjoy the jail time that will surely come along with it (if the continue down their path and start hacking serious business'/governments) as our society becomes a lot more technologically savvy and the same people they pissed on now grow up to have no feelings of remorse towards then when it comes times to elect and official that says they want to imprison all confirmed hackers in real life.
