What is D-Sync?

Recommended Posts

What are the effects of D-Sync, and how can you tell it's taking place?

It's when you lag so bad that you are no longer synchronized with the server. You can see a little broken chain link on screen when it happens, and If you log out while it is there your progress might not be saved.

You should probably have posted this in the new player forum, you would have gotten less dick replies.

dick replies...come on. That dude writes d-sync. I am sorry but i dont get it why you should write d-sync instead of desync; same amount of keystrokes.

So if your gonna write like a retard you deserve a retarded answer

If you are worried about the amount of keystrokes you make, you could save a whole lot by not posting a retarded answer.

Just sayin'.

Well sorry for not writing Desync, I only heard a guy or two say it on videos so I assumed it had to do with system information syncing. So D-Sync (DayZ-Sync) seemed correct. Sorry once again.

No you miss the point.

The point is, a guy comes in to ask a technical question whereafter two other guys take the time out of their undoubtedly busy schedules to give him the shaft over his spelling.

I described it as dick replies, because that's what they are.

Thinking about joining the spelling police, are we? You might want to look into the difference between 'your' and 'you're' before you dedicate yourself completely to the cause.

I thought it was a new boy band

*DSYNC: An ironic, post-modern deconstruction of the boy band paradigm, with catchy tunes about homoeroticism, gender subversion and hypermasculinity.

You could be onto something there...

Have some beans and stop being so super-cereal

Thanks.

Being sarcastic always yields many more beans than being helpful, that always strikes me as odd...

Have some too.

Actually I heard it was not personal lag, rather desync is when the server you are playing on can't synchronize to the hive, which is why nothing gets saved. I don't think it has to do with personal lag, when I play on teamspeak with people, we often get the desync message at the same time, and it goes away within 5-10 seconds of eachother.

That sounds better than my explanation, it would also explain why I get the icon a lot on some servers, and not on others. Thanks for correcting.
