Trying to get started on Youtube.

Yes I know there are thousands of people trying to do this every day but what the heck why can't i try too? I am looking for any help on getting into the hang of commentaries. So i would love anyone who can post links for any helpful programs or websites! ( I am fine with torrent links and I am pretty cheap XD) Thank you to anyone who helps!

If you're pretty cheap, you will have a problem. Doing comentary isn't the magic everyone of these trendy Youtubers want you to think, but you do need decent audio equipment. If you're using a cheap headset you will sound like shit, even if you have the most erotic voice ever, so look for a decent mic.

Well I mean im Not cheap cheap but Im not going out spending $100 plus on software. I'd like to get some decent software and I am already looking into a decent mic. Thank you for a serious reply

Ok,il give you a serious reply because i reached my trolling level of sadisfaction.

Try common one FRAPS for gaming(wich im guessiong you're already using)

For editing a recorded video il go with SONY VEGAS or CAMTASIA studio.

Best ones IMO.

There are plenty of tutorals of how to use them on rhe youtube land.

Yes I have already gotten Fraps, It is the most common and I was guessing you were going to suggest that. Just making sure i wasn't missing out on any other programs. As of Vegas and Camtasia I have no heard of either, I will for sure look into both of those. Im glad you got to your max trolling level =P Thank you for the help

Software wise I think you're fine with VH capture or something like that. Fraps is normally a total bitch, I wouldn't rely on that program. Since you will probably record in 1080p, the important thing is that you also adjust your game settings accordingly. This sometimes means that you have to play in windowed mode, it might not be good to play for you, but your viewers will thank you.

Sound is very important, so after you've got your mic, make sure to use something like Audacity to go over your voice over files. Don't forget to lower the game volume accordingly while playing and most importantly turn off the music if you didn't do that already.

One thing about pirating recording software: I'm not a holy man in that regard, but don't forget that you're on Youtube. First of all, it's easy to contact you since it's connected to the Google global domination network and if you want to get a Youtube partner, you will face problems. As soon as you're making money with it, you are not only stealing software, you are using said software to make a profit.

Almost every famous youtuber/commentator use him.

Every funny GMOD video you see had been converted by using SONY VEGAS.

I know atleast 10 famous gaming channel who use VEGAS its preety much the top 5 editing sofware of all time.

Camtasia on other hand is preety good to,i offered her cuz it gives similar perfornace to Vegas but its much,much easier to use,

The main attributes you need are perseverance and confidence. Confidence for your voice and perseverance for your channel. Yogscast were making videos for like 2 years before they got noticed. Also note that it will most likely turn gaming into a job, and you'll lose a lot of enjoyment from playing them. So if you're seriously thinking about making a channel, you have to apply yourself and know what you're getting yourself into.

Its an excelent,easy to learn/use software.

Upload videos at HD res and her edit options are preety good.

Youtube is your friend at that point.Not hard to look it up and it benefits him better in the long run.

Usi MSI afterburner for recording. it's free and it's better than fraps.

microsoft do some good headsets at the £30 pricepoint.

and download sony vegas :P

Bandicam is far superior to FRAPS. I highly recommend it.

I use Bandicam in conjunction with Adobe Premiere and they work beautifully together. That, and smaller file sizes are a plus.

As for the mic, just get a decent headset or table mic.
