FYI I'm not 60, the internet has been in public circulation since the early to mid 90's. I was using BBS before that. I'm 33 years old.

And please explain to me how I'm wrong about what I said? Just because the interface is non personal, doesn't mean the person you are fucking with isn't real, and that it doesn't have real implications. Do you think doing that shit over the telephone is fine? First off, we're still at scratch. The mod and game itself still has such a long way to go. Simply put, stick around for the ride until it's fully polished (at which point I'm sure it'll have all the bells and whistles you yearn for now), or don't. But to say that there's nothing to do after you play for awhile or as one knob described it, "the chewing gum game, the more you chew the less interesting it is", is where the gamers and the game players are divided. The one will get offended and put off by that comment, the other will know what I mean. (Short answer: get out of cherno and elektro; get what you need, find or steal a vehicle (or just run), and go north. BONUS SUGGESTION: Try being friendly. I dare you, go get stocked up, 2 ak's and ammo to boot and go find a noob. See where that takes you, as I personally have had a hell of a time with the people I help out like that. Some people just don't get how to get it.)

And most people wouldn't shoot someone for no reason. However, here in a zombie apocolypse world, there are plenty reasons to shoot someone.. even on site. You run into a guy who's also holding a gun, you're in the middle of nowhere, and he just might be starving to death. What do you think HE will do? Try to immerse yourself into a situation like that. Don't you think you would just shoot him then?

Also, how can you ask what people see in the game when you haven't even played the game to its full extent? There's plenty more than just sitting in the city shooting people... as enjoying as that can be sometimes. Take a trip up to Stary and the NWAF with a good set of gear.. the chances of you getting randomly killed or running into a gunfight gets you nervous, or even scared. The game CAN play with your emotions. You just have to let it. That is why I think this game is truly amazing.

You have to deliberately try to starve to death in this mod. After the first week of learning how to play, I've been walking away from food and water because I couldn't carry it all.

Same with weapons.

And the zeds are nothing more than a nuisance.

The zombie-survival mechanics fall apart as soon as you learn how to play. You have to willfully play badly, or refuse to learn, to be in danger of dying from hunger or thirst. And you have to pretend you don't know that as long as you sprint a zombie cannot hurt you, to be in danger from them.

As far as the quality of the pvp... welp.. that's just base ArmA pvp at work. Not much to do with the mod itself really.

And camping for l33t weapons? Seems very run-of-the-mill mmo type gameplay.
