INSAAAANE loading times?

Recommended Posts

By loading, I actually mean "loading" [the green loading without the bar.]

It takes up to 20 minutes to load. Does anyone know why and/or have a fix?

If it's taking more than a few minutes (2-3) and it's stuck on "Loading", it is likely that the server is not up to date with the latest beta version, or that it has not been reset in a while (and its memory cache is full).

Pick a different server in the mean time. If it is yours, fix the above problems,

Okay, thanks a lot.

Play on US servers like most Australians do, I believe it may have something to do with having to connect to the hive, most US servers load 10x faster and there is no difference in terms of lag in-game.

This seems to be happening a lot, especially with highly populated servers - for me, it doesn't matter which server or where, if it's populated, you'll have to wait 10 min. to spawn.

Fix? Just join a less populated server. Otherwise, for now, we can only facepalm in frustration.

hey inception, a HUUUUUGE fix for me was launching through steam; i originally used six launcher, but i was tired of the infinite loading screen. now, i open the multiplayer, filter for dayz, and let it sit for ten or so seconds. the servers then automatically rearrange into ping order, and if you highlight a server, the yellow circle on the left will change to a red X if the server is no good. then, find a suitable server, then join and have fun! try it

Arma II Launcher works pretty good as well (if your computer has multiple cores and large memory, it allows you to optimize rather than restricting the capacity at which the game runs).
