Playvertical 3 Posted August 3, 2012 I was providing overwatch for a medic in Cherno for a city rescue. We had recently acquired a helicopter and so we thought it would be fun to drop me off on top of the hotel in Cherno since none of us had ever been up there. after the rescue, I had to eat dinner with the family so i disconnected to sit in the lobby. I come back only to find that the helicopter had been shot down.now i'm stuck on top of the hotel with no way down. Is there any way someone would be willing to come and rescue me? I'll pretty much agree to any terms, I just don't want to die of starvation or dehydration waiting for my squad to find another chopper. Understandably this is a pretty far out request with the danger attached to rescuing a stranger, and the high value of helicopters, but if anyone would be willing, I'd be forever in debt. haha. upwards of 300 zed kills on this character and i don't wanna just jump off! Deathcall 101 Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) There's a video about myth busting in DayZ that shows that you can survive falls that would otherwise kill you if you aim for objects.The video itself portrays a man jumping from the top of the hotel where you are at onto some debris by the street in front of it. At first I survived the jump. landed on the truck, broke my legs but only lost like 200 blood. after I crawled off, gave myself a bandage and a morphine and stood up, then I died randomly... haha Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It honestly sounds like you're trying to get a hold of a Helicopter to me, and it was definitely a "far out" request. Playvertical 3 Posted August 3, 2012 then I wasn't asking for you to comment. All I was asking was for someone to grab me and drop me off like right next to the hotel and never see me again.
