Not a troll thread. Literally see this guy all the time. ten minutes ago he stripped entire server of all our weapons, teleported us to some place in komarova, and mowed us all down with a bus.

I'm not really upset because i didn't have anything great, but still...

edit: sure wish battleeye would've anticipated these things

Actually battleeye does do its job...sadly the arma community was a very mature community until 3-4 months ago, and thus the anti-hacking was never really tested and the Arma engine was never setup with anti-hacking in mind.

First of all, if you see Jesus on a daily basis, contact a doctor. Moving on: It's not a good thing to do, but seriously? That's hilarious, I'd like to see that, seems almost better than the cow paratroopers.

And Battleeye wasn't created for something like DayZ. Scripts are perfectly normal in ARMA2 since they help to control the game, kind of like a dungeon master in a P&P RPG.

Pretty funny, but i think the negative parts about hackers definitely outweigh the good.

Sure, but stuff like that is just funny and I appreciate the change of tone from time to time. Nothing's better after a tough fire fight than getting killed by airborne exploding cows. The teleporting stuff is stupid though, it's just annoying and if you don't die from it, you have to walk for half an hour to get back to your buddies.

IP's are dynamic in most cases, which is why IP bans on games are useless.

Yes, but they do have a lease period which varies per ISP. I have a pool of 10 IPv4 Addresses and 3 IPv6 Address.

I also know a ISP that actually have specific IP pools for different geographical areas.
