Killed By A Door

Date/Time: Wednesday, 5/23/12, around 10PM EDT

What happened: "Crushed" or "pinned" by an opening door

Where you were: Inside barracks building in the NW airfield

What you were doing: I had logged out in the small barracks building near the firehouse, and upon logging back in to play the next day, I see the exit door to the barracks was closed. Walked up to door close enough to get ">|<" icon and tried to open door, at which time I was pinned against the wall by the opening door (which apparently is like a pneumatic press), breaking bones and causing me to bleed out.

I bandaged myself, took a morphine shot, painkillers, the usual, and got in position to try again (after all it's THE ONLY way out of the building bar a respawn at this point. I tried to put myself in a position the second time so that I would not be behind the door when it opened, but alas, the same thing happened the second time and unfortunately I had no bandages to stop the bleeding this time around. Watched myself bleed out as the door stood there and watched.

Needless to say it sucked after being alive for almost 5 days and losing a bunch of nice stuff... I miss my NVG's =(

I had an outhouse door kill me as I tried to be cute. No freaking way am I going to use those death traps again!

ALMOST got killed by a door when I had amazing loot. It would be nice if bleeding from a door being slammed into your face/toes/hand wouldn't cause infinite bleeding and deadly injuries. I didn't know my limbs were vital organs. Also the door broke my legs and put me in shock. Rocket, please fix?
