Sam Entropy 7 Posted August 2, 2012 Sorry I had to go out actually. I didn't d/c to stop him killing me/looting, I just panicked and quit the game. I didn't mean to cause such a fuss, as I realise now that this is an issue, before I did not. If it happens again I will be wiser and just let them finish the job, or revive me (whichever they choose)I do agree with Sigouin's point though, it is quite a dick move now that I think about it, but he was a little harsh at first.Apparently it takes longer to die than I originally thought it would :/ It's the price I pay for making a wrong decision. Maroite 48 Posted August 2, 2012 its one thing for people to d/c leave and never speak about it again, but this guy is comming on the dayz forums and asking for people in this " gaming community" to help him after openly admiting he d/c after getting shot, like its alright.Im pointing this out so it doesnt get popular among other players on this forum, so if you see it as me complaining, thats your opinion, but i know many players out there that stand for what i say, and if you fail to realise what is going on here, thats on you.And i dont see why you would try to back this guy up anyway, way to support the cause, long live HIVE?(unless you disconnect upon your deaths as well)The HIVE isn't in place to prevent people from DC'ing. Its the main database server that keeps track of everyone's character and what gear they have so that people can't just edit their character files and cheat. Pretty sure the HIVE is here to stay regardless of people disconnecting or not.
