i have been wanting to get dayz for a week but the problem is my graphics card is not good enough to run it, it would be very helpful if someone could tell me a decent graphics card that is fairly cheap fir the game, thanks

You would need to post your whole rig (specs) so it's easier to choose what would be best for your system.

I'm running a MSI GTX 460 that I picked up from NewEgg for 89.99 after rebate. Game runs 30 - 60 fps on high settings.

I have a 220 graph card and can play it easy, 40fps. When you get arma open documents and arma file, open both arma and arma oa config file and change a fps line. It will have 1000 on it, change it to 1, do the same for the line below.

Bro, your avatar is creeping me out. Is that Hetfield with Mustaine hair?

Hence the name I suppose.

But still creepy, lol.

Processor speed seems to be more important for Arma 2 in general.

I have an i5-750, and when I upgraded from a GTS250 to a GTX560 Super Overclock, I saw almost no change in performance in Arma 2.

Arma 2 will run on a 9600GT, which is what my previous system had, but its Pentium D really let the game down. What card do you have currently?

Two of my all time favorites. Well, old Metallica was awesome but I find the new stuff to be quite turrible.

Radeon 6970 will run it at 60 frames constantly at high settings, 45-60 while recording. It's not very cheap, although it's not super expensive either.

I'm running it with i7-2600k 3.4 GHZ

Unless you're running dedicated graphics (Intel HD 3000 or something like that) then it's most likely your processor holding you back.

ArmA 2 is very CPU demanding, and unlike most modern games, you're GPU doesn't make too much difference. Look into getting a new generation Intel CPU if your mobo isn't really old.

I use a 6850 that I picked up for just £80. It runs the game really well (45-60 FPS).

However, I have an i5 2500k processor which is certainly doing a lot of the hard work....
