Vellarain 73 Posted August 2, 2012 (edited) Been playing this game and watching the forums for a little under a month now. But there seems to be some interesting player types that I want to highlight for some entertainment and maybe even be informative! So lets get started with a fresh player! The New Blood:Average survival time: 5~10 minutesThreat level: High. but only to himself. Most common weapon: Flashlight?."They wont stop chasing me!"This player is new to not just the game but ArmA as well and has no understanding of the even the remote concept of survival let alone how to actually control his character. If they find some loot they don't even know how to pick up and often lack the time with massive trains of zombies following in their wake. Some players might even give up at this stage, unable to learn the controls or understand how to keep a low profile, but most manage to move beyond this point and develop as a player. The Timid Coastal Player:Evolves from: New BloodAverage Survival time: 1~2 hoursThreat level: NoneMost common weapon: a Tin Can.(No image found)"Don't shoot! I don't even have a gun!"With the controls down and able to manage avoiding configurations by crawling everywhere on the map this is a player that can never seem to get beyond the first couple of cities with any kind of regularity. His slow movements and cautious play style is ideal for any zombie situation, but in places like Cherno or Elektro he is easy pickings for anyone looking to add another murder to their score. Gun shots easily startle this player and usually will scamper off into the treeline. But when the Timid player finds a weapon he evolves into...Overconfident zombie slayer:Evolves from: TCGAverage survival time: 30 minutesThreat level: LowMost common weapon: Axe or Makarov."DIE ZOMBIE DIE... fu#k"Finally with a weapon in his shaking hands this player can now take revenge on all the damn zombies that he has had to crawl around and hide from. But today, no more will he lay belly down in the dirt. No this player will rise from the grass and smite down all the undead in his way, nothing can stop him he is a true survivor. And then a zombie breaks his legs...Only to be finished off by a bandit...The sense of power when gaining your first weapon is a hard feeling to control, and this form of player clearly has difficulty struggling with such empowerment. Sadly for him there is a entire server of players better armed and more experienced that will not tolerate such open faced bravado. Soon the overconfident player will learn temperance... or will he?The Berserker:Evolves from: OZSAverage survival time: 5 minutes when he finds his axeThreat level: moderateMost common weapon: Axe"AXES FOR EVERYONE!"The berserker is a rare form of player that is so aggressive that he will never be found past the coastline, but most people want it this way but they also don't want battle axes in the game because of this players very existence. The moment he finds his trusty hatchet no player or zombie is safe within his striking distance! While most heavily armed don't think much of this type of player anyone caught in a close range will say otherwise as they are chopped into little bits as the berserker laughs wildly over direct chat! The only true bain of the berserker is open fields as they have yet to learn how to zig zag and not feel like a coward while doing it.The Adventurer:Evolves from: OZSAverage survival time: 4+ hoursThreat level: ModerateMost common weapon: Winchester"ALL ABOARD THE KNUCKLE TRAIN TO FIST PLANET!"After learning all of the most basic survival tricks and learning to keep control of his weapon and use it wisely the zombie slayer evolves into the adventurer. Gathering the starter gear is easy and he now knows the lay of the land with every spawn and where to go from there. He is often friendly to most other players choosing to seek out new locations and move beyond the coast. Though most other players will be hostile and he will die often as he still lacks the skill and cunning of more seasoned players the adventurer will move on learning from his mistakes and grow in ability. Eventually this type of player will find his own path be it for good or something far more sinister! Edited August 2, 2012 by Vellarain

flexho 78 Posted August 2, 2012 (edited) A funny list, tho. i needs a few more. Please illustrate the hardcore players, like the type "The role player" , "The skilled survivor" , "The tryhard" (which is the one that try to find all the good loot, but never finds any, who whines on forums about everyone stealing his loot, like server hoppers and the hoarders who takes his vehicles. Also the "The hacker" ... 4 personalities which could be fun to discribe. :D ? what you think. Edited August 2, 2012 by Flexho
