Easy way to switch from main gun to axe ?

cant seem figure out easy way to do this

always have place rifle on the ground to use the axe

If you have 10 slots available in your backpack you can place your gun in your backpack (By opening your backpack and double clicking your gun) then pull out your hatchet, when you're finished put your hatchet back in your toolbelt and take your gun out your backpack. Simple. :] If you don't have 10 slots spare you're gonna have to find a bigger backpack or just drop your gun everytime.

BEWARE! I believe you need 10 slots + a slot for each ammo item you have or else you will lose the ammo as it will attempt to follow the gun to your backpack.
