M107 mag VS AS50 mag?

What's the difference between the two other than one has 5 more bullets than the other? Any dmg difference or something?? I've always wondered this : x

the 10 shot mag does around 37k damage. the 5 shot mag does around 150k damage. 5 shot mag is for blowing up vehicles.

AS50 does 174,205 dmg

While a M136 does 6,234,099

not sure what the differance is, but given the option to carry double the round in the same space, and have them a lot more easily findable then the smaller as50 mags i go with 107 mags everytime

Can't find the post but i've seen it before...

With both ammo's fired using an AS50 the M107 does something like 17000k dmg and is a bit inaccurate/is affected by gravity more.

The AS50 round does something like 200000k damage. And thus is less affect by bullet drop. So when using both against infantry it doesn't really matter unless the shot is 800+ meters i'd say.

As far as I saw posted by other users (videos and etc), the AS50 mag is more accurate and more powerful.

the difference is at very long shot, 1600+ km with m107 bullet you will have to add 1 mildot more than with as50 bullet

also if you use it against vehicles, as50 ammo is much more powerful.

There shouldn't be huge difference if they use the same .50 class ball ammunition in the game. I'm pretty sure they use the same ammo class but intermixing the mags/weapons gives you huge difference in the ballistics. Just another weird thing why they should never have split ArmA 2 into ArmA 2 and OA.

Don't forget that the M107's Effective Range is 1.2km, and that's how far its zeroing goes.

So don't compare shooting at ranges over 1.2km with the AS50, compare between the two only up to 1.2km.

Also, don't forget that there's a hardcoded limit of 1km, anything (players, zombies) past that won't draw (to make sure players with super PC's don't get an advantage).
