Good Loot Route for teh Newbies

Recommended Posts

Ok. Well I've come up with this pretty good loot route that's great if you spawn near Kemenka, Kamorovo, or Balota. Your chances of seeing someone are pretty slim and you can get looted up with a good primary within an hour at the most.

I am not totally sure about the spawn points but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. You can also keep looting more barns up north if you want. They are marked with a green circle. It's not a bad idea to go north to the grocery store that I marked since you could maybe find an ALICE pack there.

I take no credit for making the map. Just the stuff drawn on with paint. You can find the full map here: http://dayzdb.com/map#3.089.124

Good day to you all.

Or you can just rambo the airfield since you have nothing to lose and come out with a military grade weapon

That is an option but this route is for if you're fed up with getting KoS by people at the airfield or wherever else you're looking for a gun. Your best chance of seeing someone along my route is at the barn above Kamorovo.

When I die and have to start a fresh - I just go to elektro or cherno straight away as I have nothing to lose. I then raid the hospital first and then supermarket. Then I head north hitting some houses and farms on the way out. Most of the time I get enough loot to get me to the next few towns and always seem to get good loot on the way.

Then I hit the airfields to get some guns - this is risky but I would have only been alive for say an hour or so; so nothing to lose really.

It works for me but maybe not everyone

Last bump since it seemed no one was on the forums last night at like 3 AM -_-

This can really help some people out.

There is some missing stops, like houses, where theres food, and there can be a backpack. :-)

What if I don't spawn here? Then what?

I rarely spawn at these locations anymore. The majority of the time I spawn east of Elektro.

I hit the massive cities, wander around aimlessly looking for the supermarket, don't find the supermarket, hit the smaller buildings inside, find good shit, leave, hit any small places dotted around the map, find more mags.

Ya I am aware of this. This is just the notable spots where you can find good military grade primary's.

This is a good route for avoiding contact. My most successful survivor so far went that route and had pretty much all the survival essentials by the time I hit Zeleno.

While I appreciate your effort, youve basically just doomed new players. I remember when I first started playing DayZ and watched a video where a guy suggested hitting Balota and the airfield because it was generally "less traveled". Ya fat chance, I was getting KoSed left and right because thats what EVERYONE was doing and so where the bandits most likely as a result of that video.

Hey guys.

Just thought I would post this loot path/guide I made to getting good loot fast, making your way to the north, getting geared for pvp, avoiding trouble all the while, the whole time having a terrible south coast spawn. I'm sure everyone's had a Kamenka/west Komarov spawn, and trek like 10 minutes to Cherno or Balota only to get killed by zombies or players, and respawning in the same spot only to do it again. Well, if you get a bad south coast spawn, definitely check out this path I made that values high-yield loot locations, quick routes, low player traffic, and an easy way to get decent gear ending in a NW airfield run. The run is a very efficient route than allows you to pick up fast, medium-high quality gear while avoiding as much trouble as possible until you can take it head on more comfortably.

It is worth mentioning that if you are newer and you are shifty about hitting up NW airfield, playing on a server with only about 10-20 players or maybe on recruit difficulty can be a safe bet to make sure yor NW airfield raid goes a little more smoothly. I definitely wouldn't recommend the last part of the route if you are playing on a veteran server with 35-40+ people on at, as NW airfield can have high PvP traffic.

So, with that said, here it is. Hope people can get a good kick out of it.

If you check it out and like it, let me know what you think of it. If you didn't like it, tell me what you think you would have done differently, quicker paths/more efficient routes etc. Really hope this helps people who get those shit spawns every once in a while.

The main problem with this is the woods would be hard to navigate without a map.

If you think this, you highly over-estimate the patience of Bandit snipers. The majority of people won't ever read this thread, both bandits and survivors, thus even the bandits that do, wont find enough survivors on this rout to make it a better douchebag sniping spot than the big cities.

@T8TRG8TR

If you are talking about my map, then yeah, if you dont find a map in any inital barn/general store it can be pretty extensive and overwhelming. However, just look for key spots such as landmarks/roads that you cross and make sure to alt+tab and refer to the route as much as possible, and if you DO get a map, make sure to shift+left click a checkpoint or a spot you might have trouble getting to, as this will set a waypoint.

I'd like to point out the problems with this route, but you've already ruined it enough by openly talking about it.

What I do Starting on west coast get to zelen grocery for alice and farm tree houses going north for 2 primaries, one sniper and one close range.

Of course starting at cherno west side harbor is the best starting locale to me in the game, from there ill be fully geared in less then 40 minutes

Nice map

BUMP

Gad damnit, this my second option if Balota is too hot to handle. I usually avoid places like Cherno If I spawn on the west side because No skill deathmatch is boring.

@calthehunter

Enough of the, "now that it's on a forum, it's too well known to work" bullshit.

The route is meant for fresh spawned palyers with bad spawns, it isn't viable to farm this route for kills. The amount of people who either die, get a bad south spawn, see this post, and choose to go this way, (which, by the way, has alternate routes in it, making it harder to predict movement if you think someone IS taking this route), is going to be low enough as to make it worth while. No one with a brain would try to farm this route for kills, if you need to ask why or you think otherwise, then gtfo. As was said earlier, you obviously either overestimate the patience of bandits, or you think all players whould coincidentally follow this exact route and ruin it for each other (i.e. try to kill each other), or both.

It can and will help more people than it can or would harm.

So, go ahead, post your route.
