Given hacked gear, what now?

OK, so I was playing with a friend and we are walking through the forests when suddenly we hear a voice saying that he has attached a satchel charge to my friend. We obviously know that this isn't possible to we just run off and about 30 seconds later we hear a massive explosion. After running off for a good few minutes we think we're free of him and so go about playing the game.

When we are looting a town a bit later on when suddenly we hear his voice again and he says he wants to reward us for surviving last time, my friend had some gear he didn't want to lose so by this point he has already run away and logged out. I didn't yet know he was a hacker and didn't really have any gear that I didn't want to lose so I decided to stay and see what he's going to do.

Suddenly he appears in front of me and I realise he is a hacker, next thing I know all my gear has suddenly swapped. before I had fairly basic gear, an ALICE, AKM and most of the tools. After this I had coyote pack, AS50, M4 sd, ghillie suit, rangefinder, NVG and all the tools. All my old stuff was gone.

So at this point I logged out and now I have no idea what to do, is there any way for me to get my old stuff back? and more importantly is there any chance of me getting banned because of this?

sorry if this is the wrong forum wasn't really sure where it should go, couldn't find anything like this in the faq or anything.

Nope, you cant get your old stuff back. My advice is to drop all the hacked gear and go back to scraping up gear.

Starting to see a lot of these threads. Seems like hackers are trying to share the blame of hacked gear and making it harder for them to get tracked. But I could be way off Im no expert

Take advantage of it, you won't get banned for him handing you the gear.

No you can not get banned for using player spawned gear it has been said over and over. The only way to get banned is by you spawning the items yourself.

Keep the items and enjoy them while you are still alive.

That still doesn't matter, u done nothing wrong and had no control over it. So don't worry, just stay safe and use your gear wisely.

Either go for a swim and lose it there, or get something like Vest Pouches (small backpack), fill it with tin cans and then move everything into the tin can filled backpack - the items should get destroyed then.

savest way- if you want to get rid of them; is: Put the stuff on a dead zombie and hide the body.

but if you really didnt spawn the stuff yourself, nothing will happen, since you didnt use any illegal programs.

I know I lost my m4sd/m9sd today when I joined a server that dumped all my medical supplies, food and water out of my coyote and handed me an AS50 with 7x AS50 mags. Sucked dingus, what the heck am I doing with an AS50? Dropped it and now am making due with an AKM...luckily my buddy had a backup M9SD in his stockpile, but this is ridiculous.
