Name your good deed of the day.

Ouch. Seems a bit scary to know that anyone right next to you that you're working with can be dead next second. Or worse, you be dead next second.

The unknown factor is what makes this game so fun :). Not to many games get your heart pumping & plams sweating like this one. Its not a matter of IF you die... its a matter of WHEN you die. Split second decisions make all the difference between life and death. Had I stuck around after healing the guy, chit chatting on the roof, there would probably be two blood stains up there instead of one. And who's to say the guy I risked my own life to heal wouldn't have decided afterwards "That was nice... I want his stuff.." and shoot me as I headed back down the ladder to my truck. It makes playing as a good guy that much more of a challange. Anyone can run around and shoot everything on sight. But I believe that diminishes excitement and fun of... the unknown factor.

While waiting for a friend to get his loot out of elektro, I was sitting on a hill. I turned to my left and about 20 meters away was a bandit sniper. He fired off a round and I seen "Andrew was killed", so I snuck up behind him and put a couple of rounds in his skull before he could kill any more new players.

Can you tell me where this tent is? I'm on call at the moment and I have 7 broken bones to fix and only 2 morphine left :|

God bless you medic types, but please tell me you at least have an armed escort with you. There are so many fucking assholes in this game that probably page doctors cuz they feel they need a little target practice.

Some of us do have bodyguards, but most of us on the white list do not. The white list is basically a collection of freelance medics you can trust 100%, but we acquire our own supplies, and we often move throughout the map from region to region.

TMW is basically the more organized branch of the White List, they have set bases and operating areas, as well as suppliers who stockpile medical items for them. Many of them also have some sort of armed escort.

Just thought I'd give a little info about us, it seems like a lot of people either don't know the difference or don't trust either organization. Both the white list and TMW were founded and unofficially are led by Dr. Wasteland, M.D. ;)

Not today, but awhile ago I was starving to death. Food meter in the red and everything. After narowly escaping Cherno after being hunted by a bandit, I was full on sprinting for Elektro when I saw this poor noob who had spawned only minutes before and was chased out of elektro with about 5-6 deadheads on his heels. I took out my 1911 and began popping off rounds, and as we dodged the zombies I was taking out, I asked him if he had food. As he beganto run around a nearby shed, he informed me no he did not. As I dodged left and took out another one, he began sprinting straight for Cherno with 2-3 still on his heels. I tried to take them out, but I couldn't. I ended up screaming "HAPPY TRAILS KID!" through direct a loud as I could. Found food in elektro, and didn't die.

Too bad that kid died about 3 minutes later :(

Just one hour ago.

I was at Elektro minding my own business looting in the school when I saw a guy hitting an unarmed player with his hatchet, so I rushed downstairs and pulled my lee enfield in his head, the player who was unarmed had broken legs so I gave him morphine, bandages and gave him blood.

I told the player to loot the guy and stay far from me, he did so and I was happy to make someone happy today, went back to my bicycle and drove to cherno to complete my surviving day.

I was near a town at the edge of a forest watching for survivors after I heard gunfire. Then I saw an unarmed survivor come running down a hill opposite me. A zombie saw him. He was running toward me, so I moved out of the trees and started yelling for him to hit the dirt. He saw me and came toward me and yelled for help. I yelled again for him to hit the dirt. He did, and I shot the zombie with my Winchester.

I took him to some nearby barns and a deer stand for him to arm himself. He got an Enfield and a G17. Then we headed to another barn in a nearby town. We got inside and heard another survivor shrieking in fright, but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. He looted one side of the barn, and then he was going to cover me while I looted the ground floor of my side. As I was going down the stairs, another survivor popped out from behind the boxes and shot me with a double-barreled shotgun. He had been hiding and listening to us talk. My new friend escaped with his life.

It could have been a setup, but I doubt it, because we've remained in contact since then, and he could have shot me many times before then when my back was turned, with less risk of drawing zombies.

I did a good deed, but ended up dead. At least it wasn't the guy I helped who shot me. :)

If only karma could rub off people in this game, heh.

I used to try and to help people and do good deeds, but 9 times out of 10 as soon as you turn your back they shoot you. That's why I'm never in cherno, elektro or berezino, too many noobs. Plus there's nothing good there anyway. I shoot other players on site, it's the only way I can assure my survival against other players. There is no trust anymore.!

I was sniping in Cherno today and saw a fresh spawn with only a hatchet getting killed by a guy with an ak74. I kill the guy with the AK74 to save him, and the fresh spawn just stands there in confusion for a few minutes until he dies from bleeding out when he could've bandaged himself then taken the guys gear. -.-

I found a player through another forum who was just starting off. I spent 3 hours teaching him the basics. I left to go to a show so my other buddy continued playing with him. I get a text 2 hours later, the new kid broke his leg, got pissed and tried to shoot my friend... so naturally he unloaded a m4a3 in his face.

Did my deed and got a laugh, win-win!

my good deed of the day was the following little story:

me and my friend were playing on some of the DE servers and were scavening around Kozlovka

After some time spent over there and not finding anything special, we decided to head to greenmountains (and defy the cursed grounds of it) to check out the tower & deer stands overthere.

We started to approach from the SE direction, at the kustryk hills and take cover from the higher grass & few trees while grossing over to the greenmountains, when we spotted two other survivors coming down hill from the eastern deer stand of the greenhill. They did not see us, since we were moving 1-1 tactic (other moves, another one spots, then the spotter follows to the another player)

We were prone, hoping that the players would not notice us and move away. Usually we would backout ourself, but on that spot, we had nothing to bacout to. Our current apot was the only that gives some cover on our side.

Unfortunately, the duo decided to stop. They did not spot us, the other one kneeled down, while the other went into the bush and opened a can of beans. While we were listening the sound pf eating, and the other one was busy looking with the binoculars, it was our time to act. So... next,,,, I started talking to them. We were only about 10-15meters away.

I told them that they both are on our sights, and told them not to turn. I also demanded not to raise their weapons.

They responded, and I could hear worry in the voice who was talking to me.

he said: Ok.... what do you want us to do?"

"I do not want anything, I just want to avoid firefight at all costs"

"We want that aswell"

"Then please, move away"

At this point, his friend on the bushes was moving, I had a clear line of sight at him. I gave a clear warning that I can see you in the bushes, stop moving or I will defend myself. He stopped. We had a brief chat and I told them to move to downholl, towards the city of Pogorevka. They agreed and started running.

As they were leaving, and turned their back on to us, I said "goodbye, goodluck" and heard a distant "bye" responding to me.

The situtation was over. I was relieved. I still haven't had to kill anyone. I do not want to either. But we could have, anytime. I was happy that this incident was over with just a brief chat over the voice. I hope that these two had a nice feeling after that meeting aswell, even thouh it was very tense. When you have the upper hand, you don't have to exploit it and ruin someones day by it. Too bad I did not learn the name of these two, I would lime to have a few words with them after :)

Oh, I suppose the karma was good to us aswell. We found a PDW and 2 clips from one of the deer stands and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENED AT THE GREENMOUNTAIN! ;) Phew!

The guy had absolutely nothing. I first shot him in the leg, then bandaged him, then teabagged him, then hit him with an axe in the leg, then bandaged him then gave him a blood transfusion. Rinse and repeat for about five times, then I killed. (I had gotten a load of blood bags from an earlier raid of the hospital.

So, does this count as a good deed?

Was on a server with Side chat.

Someone needed morphine in Vybor. I was in my jeep driving around tooting the horn. He heard me and we started talking.

I wasn't trusting enough to go up to him and hand him morphine so I left some in a shed close to his position.

I think he was fairly greatful, considering he said he'd give me a coyote back pack.

But I wasn't in it for the rewards :)
