hatfieldcw 184 Posted July 29, 2012 I logged into three servers in rapid succession tonight, trying to find a daytime server. The third time I logged in I got the "Choose your gender" dialogue and spawned naked on the coast. Didn't lose much, just an 1866 and some morphine on me, but I was way up north of Zelenogorsk, near Vybor with a buddy last time I played and now I'm looking at a long jog to meet back up with him.Is this the much-anticipated feature to stop people from jumping servers? I'm all for preventing exploits, but if I log in and see my gun silhouetted against the stars, you can bet I'm going to hop, especially since I've got no gear to deal with it. Maybe there's a better way to track what people are doing?
BlksnshN 127 Posted July 29, 2012 I'm trying to find a daytime server right now, this is the third time I've jumped. Let's see if I suffer the same fate as you.
Shakakahn 23 Posted July 29, 2012 I'm thinking that was a glitch. The new changelog doesn't say anything other than it's monitoring logs now.

Doctor_sloth 119 Posted July 29, 2012 You may have joined a server that's not connected to the hive, or the Devs may have introduced something on the sly to combat server-hopping. I hopped around onto four different servers tonight (trying to find one were it wasn't raining as it kills my FPS) and have had no issues. I would suggest trying to join another server and seeing if you get your gear back. If not, oh well back to looting barns I suppose.

SluttyYutty 1 Posted July 29, 2012 Look at the listed time zone before joining. Those times are not always accurate. There's alota servers with time not matched up to descripton and everytime it goes down for maintaince game time gets reset so its always daytime when you are on them. meta87 25 Posted July 29, 2012 I did the same thing, and found that it was actually because i joined one of those private non hive servers by accident. You likely did the same!
hatfieldcw 184 Posted July 29, 2012 Yep, looks like that did it. Must've been the server I joined. I tried a new one, logged right in under the sunshine, and was killed seconds later by sniper fire. I guess that coastal spawn was a sign of things to come. Thanks for the input, everyone.
