Randomly Died

Hey, I´m just really confused and a bit tierd because we were a group of 3 that was just wandering around, then 1 of us splits away to look for a car spawn and when hes on his way back to us he gets sniped. Me and my friend rush to the place were he get sniped to camp the body and see if the killer shows himself, we lie in the grass really well hidden for about 10 minutes. Then both me and my friend dies without any shoots fired nor the annoying beeping sound from a grenade. One other guy on the server dies aswell... but that could have just been a random death somewhere on the map that had nothing to with our deaths.

So more to the point I´d like to know if this is a bug, hack or.. well I don´t know.

Maybe someone else experienced this and know what it is...

Its annoying because I was trying to teach my friend a bit about the game and how it works and such, and we had pretty nice gear. I had a MK48 Mod (?) and a DMR with a coyote(?) backpack and some other stuff. My friend had a DMR and some random loot. And the one who got sniped first had a SVD Camo.. >:(

The server we was on was NL50 if it helps.

Don't go spreading Admin rumors--

Could have been almost anything that killed you. You'll never truly know.

Could have been hacks. Could have been glitch. Could have been two snipers working together. Who knows.

Sure is lame to just randomly die and not even knowing what hit you, I can swear it wasn't a sniper because there was no shots fired. :<

But oh well, guess we´ll just have to respawn then. :|

Don't know if you would hear the shot, never used a sniper much, only ever had a DMR...

Problem was both me and my friend died at the exact same time, and we were pretty much in a forest so would be hard to spot us from that distance and have line of fire on both of us aswell.

I'm one of the admins of NL50 - e-noobs.nl and I can assure you we can't do this as admins. We play ourself on the server and we get shot by other players, but we aren't that lame that we going to kick or something (but this wasn't the case I see). We have no superpowers as admin and we are just normal players like the rest of us. The only thing we can do is:

*restart the server for the right GMT

*install latest patches/ updates

*kick players if we know for sure they are cheating (not happened yet, how can we see?)

If we restart the server we do several announcements when this is taken place (10 / 5 / 1 min / latest call).

I don't know what causes your death... maby cheaters? I don't know... but not some admins with superpowers on NL50 (we are with 4 admins). Server is hosted on Vilayer.com.

From what you said, it was some hacker having fun. The sniper who killed your friend sounds ok, but death of three people at once (Not in one big group) is impossible. Best guess is a area nuke, and the other player just was unlucky to be to close.

Going off the thread talking about how hackers work, im guessing you were all within 800 meters of his "Radar". And that some how tied into the area nuke.

A hacker is capable of doing all of these.

It's even possible that you were never sniped. Chances are a hacker was invisible, used a silenced weapon to kill your first friend, then tracked the two of you via ESP and/or map marker. Perhaps he killed you both at close range with silenced weapon to the head, or a simple kill command (which can kill any number of players, specifically targeted, or the whole server).
