Is anyone using chat or ingame VOIP

Because I don't know if people don't use it or if it's somehow broken on my end (I've already seen people on this forum say, that their friends can't read messages they've sent). I have never seen anyone chat or heard someones voice. I have tried to contact some players few times via direct chanel chat with no response - they stopped moving, looked like they may be typing, but nothing ever showed up.

It works for me. Find a friend to try and test it out?

If you're using the mic to talk in game or hoping to hear other people, make sure your settings are turned up in the options.

I had this problem a few weeks back. It really just most likely comes down to the player I would think. I've run into many other instances that I've heard and seen chat within DayZ. A lot of new players have never played or know where ARMA even comes from and good chances most likely don't know the chat controls. Good word of advice though is if they don't respond after a few just lay a round in their head, and possible responses in the future instead of rolling up like Helen Keller.
