I know about pitching tents, but have no knowledge in how they work.

If I pitch a tent to keep supplies, will it exist only on the server that I pitched it? or will it exist across all servers in the hive? or will it just fade away when I leave the server?

Basically, same thing about vehicles, I know folk store gear in them, but how do they keep the car from going poof over days of game play?

If its a public hive, it transfers, however if it's a vehicle, it stays and you can't keep it except from hiding it well

i might also suggest that anyone asking someone if they are friendly or not needs to really think it over. no matter what your intentions everyone will reply yes.

i think a good suggestion is if someone ask to join you or if you are friendly say im not looking for companions if you need help i can help but then ill send you on your way that way you wont have to worry about being stabbed in the back and you can also ask for payment of this service but then again you may be shot for the required items anyway

Been away from DayZ for a long time now. After some thought and a glass "o" wine, I'm coming back to play and to finally give this guide a much needed update. To all those who posted I will be adding your info to the guide shortly..
