Holly Jesus Christ! Well, damn and blast my eyes, as we can see there is no single duper present in dayz. Only valiant white knights who refuse to sully themselves with such dirty tactics. I salute you shrewd and law abiding survivors! Astonishingly, the servers are still overflowing with as50s and l85s so I assume, from your testimonies, that those items must somehow magically appear in player's inventory thus forcing themselves on otherwise baffled and disgusted survivors which are being forced to use them. I... AM... APPALLED. For something like this to happen to unwilling and otherwise just players. Rocket, shame on you for implementing such treacherous mechanism in the mod...

Yes, you can duplicate items. It's a rather simple tactic, but ruins a lot of the fun that comes from building up gear by yourself.

I have a tent that respawns items with each server restarts.

At the moment duping is necessary in my point of view, in a mod where you can loose all to a HACKER with GOD MODE or a NUKE, its assuring to have a backup,

I dont support it however and if the game/mod was stable i wouldnt use it even if avaiable, it ruins the game.

Besides i hardly play on HIVE, and in the pvt server im usually at i dont use magic tent because the HACKER problem is GONE.

you havent been a noob in a while have you? ive literally, in my 5hr 1 glorious life, (edit:NOT) seen 1 can of food, i had a lot of meat, but no matches

I would consider it "taking a sip of my coke" and "a bite of my steak" :)

Just don't do it with anything like ammo or weapons!

If you find a hacker ammo box destroy it and don't take anything no matter how tempting it is!

Still it is unnecessary considering the amount of food laying around.

But if on a long forest trip I think you could consider it rationing food.

You do know that that doesent work.. You need to empty and then save the tent..

You can also park a car on top and wait for the server to restart, BAM tent gone
