A thousand times this.Just because someone wants to air a view about an aspect of the game doesn't mean that it isn't a valid opinion - just because you don't agree or it would affect an element of the game you play if implemented.Beans for you sir. He knows, and if he's as smart as he seems, he's using this opportunity to see how people react to the changes.Honestly I think weaker weapons is a good thing.Headshotting really should be a requirement for success. This game is built around the idea that difficulty is good. A lot of people who play DayZ pride themselves on being able to excel in what is a difficult game... so why not reward those with the best accuracy as well? It's another layer of depth and difficulty that doesn't exist when you can shoot a Z in the leg with a pistol and have him die. This doesn't mess up balance either. Whether you play 50 hours a week and have the time to find the high powered weapons, or are a bandit and steal them, or just check every nook and cranny and get lucky... you CAN get the best weapons in the game. Is it fun 1911ing Zeds without a care in the world? YES.... Is this game about 1911ing Zeds without a care in the world? NO.:) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

svefngenglar 19 Posted July 27, 2012 (edited) I'm kind of annoyed about the enfield. Variants of .303 rifles are quite common guns IRL and they are extremely powerful weapons. My family own one and I have shot it before. Being shot in the chest with one from less than 400 meters would take you down for sure. Maybe not kill you straight away. I think the gun was a fairly accurate representation although I have no knowledge of the lee enfield itself so I am quite possibly wrong. I'm basing my opinion on a more modern .303 rifle. Still, guns are powerful in reality and I would like the game to reflect that. If you shot someone 5 times in the chest with a 9mm handgun they wouldn't just stand there shooting back at you either. But I guess the realism vs game balance is fairly contentious.EDIT: I don't mind that infected can take a load of 9mm to the chest. I would play it in a heartbeat if I could get into some big ass ops like that. Hell if anyone involved in those types of things sees this..send me a fricken message. :)As for a "blight"..
