Seriously underrated, it's my favourite gun in the game and has nothing fancy about so if someone kills you they are likely to be disappointed.

BI (not Rocket) dropped the noise level on it in a recent patch.. it's now on par with the AKM and other rifles so yeah.. it's pretty bad-ass.

Even more so now than it was before the patch. :)

Yes, it did lose some of it's damage, but it was way over-powered before. Now it's pretty much perfect.

Really, earlier this morning i was playing and shot a survivor at the Cherno supermarket, he died in one shot :huh: ... it wasn't a headshot either

DayZ DB tells us that there are louder weapons despite claiming the nickname of "dinner bell".

A fantastic perk of the weapon that I don't often see mentioned is its great ease of ammo management. 10 rounds per magazine, in a bolt-action rifle, each being mildly difficult to aquire at best (lootable from the most silent locales). Add the fact that most wielders are discouraged from putting themselves in many ammo-consuming situations. And many will also swap out to a sidearm if their hand is forced while surrounded by unaware zombies. It's extremely easy to keep topped up.

Even if you might initially hesitate to take aim and fire, knowing that you're well-armed (especially for early game) is a calming thought when crawling through that tall grass in forced-first-person.

Very powerful gun, possible to just one-shot players from a decent range and kill them. Common ammo.

Buuuut most people will always drop it for a rarer gun when they find one but it's still a great gun.

it used to be one of the best in the game, it's still ok but that nerf really hurt. it used to be a decision whether to drop it for an akm, not anymore.

lee enfield was the perfect rifle to counter those snipers and assault gun users early game with it being very loud for balance. Then when you found something better you took it.

now after the nerf, dont even bother with it

meaning either you ro the server haven't patched to the latest arma ii oa patch i guess.... read here: www.dayzdb.com - new damage 6722, down from 12500 (the 1 shot 1 kill value). now you need 2 (or an headshot ofc). but the audible range has been reduced.

love my lee and it takes alot for me to drop it for something else. I've not had a chance to shoot it at another player yet since it's been "adjusted" but even without a one hit kill i'm figuring even if i get a a good hit in. There is a good chance i am going to knock you on your arse and finish u with the second.

I have had some extremely good shots with this rifle in the past.One poor sucker got it in the head at 300m dream shot wouldn't be able to do that again but yeah love my lee.
