Ultimate Solution to Hackers

Some of you may think this Idea is stupid; however think about it a litte longer.

Just to give you some backgound.

I launched my new server, that I personally pay for, on Suday and have already banned 10 known hackers since then.

Just yesterday my server was attacked with 5 different Teleport hacks from 5 different hackers and 2 kill scripts that took out everyone on the server.

What am I trying to achive with this post?

What would happen if every server Banned people who were not a part of thier comminity?

How many people are out there hacking right now?

Is this fun for me or my Friends?

Why should I pay for people who just want to ruin my fun?

Is there any other solution?

What you doing is actually cheating. same thing as hacking. If you continew doing so in best case you will be blacklisted, in worth case you will loose the server without refund.

in any case consider your serverpayment as a donation to the comunity for alpha testing purposes

I suggest we round up all the hackers from their mothers' basements, put them in some sort of biodome like structure, tell them the only way out is to be the last one standing, then don't let the last one standing out.

I do see your point though, but the problem here is the fact, that having the server for only your friends will provide you An unfair advantage. If characters would be server specific I would agree with this method though

Never said I wanted a server for Just me and my friends to play.

In fact what I want is a server that is fun for me and my friends to play on. Does not even matter if it's my server or not.

Let's get back to the problem here people, don't fixate on me or my server.

Let's find a solution to the hackers ruining our gameplay.

Okay, so now the hacker has not only killed a person, but now that person is banned as well, losing his tent, vehicle, etc. If I was a hacker, this would only please me more.

Yes. Stop testing alpha server and wait for release version in standalone. then you can enjoy your "game" with much less hackers or maybe even without.

I don't see anything, that we as players and admins can do right now. There is a log parser, that should detect hackers in servers sub forum, not sure how effective is it though.

It is up to BI and BE to fight those pricks right now. I hope that later on we will have more customizable servers with server specific characters, then we will be able to start forming servet-side communities.

number two is instead of locking your server just Ban anyone trying to connect to it.. :)
