mr_seacucumber 81 Posted July 25, 2012 Press the enter key on the number pad (default) to switch views. Then use iron sights that way
Hutch (DayZ) 116 Posted July 25, 2012 Um. You're not using the iron sights.Try a quick tap on the right mouse button. Then hold to zoom and steady.
crobemeister 0 Posted July 25, 2012 I dont thing you know what iron sights are...Go to first person, tap the right mouse button to bring up iron sights.
TheLoneRanger (DayZ) 22 Posted July 25, 2012 The crosshairs in 3rd person are not very accurate. The Day Z wiki has more information about the crosshairs. Switch to 1st person for any kind of range shooting, unless you're enemy is at point blank.

GunsBlazin 14 Posted July 25, 2012 that crosshair is garbage
internetTAB (DayZ) 76 Posted July 25, 2012 unfortunately every guns crosshair accuracy is different Some are spot on, some are to the left of center, etc. It's weird, test it out by centering your view on something, then right click once to bring up Iron sights. You will be able to see where you are really looking. So you can "learn" to shoot without the ironsights, so to speak.
