steam users unable to connect to server

We use the six launcher. Steam updated the game while we were playing, corrupted some files, then we couldn't connect to servers. Fix: Have steam verify local content, it'll find corrupted files and repair them. Then you'll be able to reconnect.

Nope, tried several times, no joy.

This worked for me, make sure to redo the beta and everything.

Getting the same exact issue. I was in the game, having a great time, then I decide to switch to a server my friend was on, and now I it kicks me off of any server with the same error message as the OP.

i've "validated" multiple times in a row and keep getting corrupted files. steam sucks.

there's another thread about this with a fix, not sure if it works.
