I'm walking sideways, and cannot fix it.

Hey guys. I loaded up DayZ, and I started walking around my camp, and I noticed I started walking sideways, and I couldn't go backwards or anything. I tried to crawl, but it was going sideways as well.

Does anyone know the button to fix this?

If I get stuck walking one direction, pressing that direction key usually fixes it.

Stuck strafing right, press right.

Double press the button of the direction you're going to. Arma locks most key if you press them 2 times.

Double tap the direction you're walking in and it will stop, it's an animation/action bug that accidentally engages the double tap feature which shouldn't work with movement.

Your survivor spawned as one of the low-chance survivor spawns who are infected with the Z virus. Rocket added this secretly with a former patch (1.7.2.0 I think), the probability is like REALLY low (understandable, seeing how many players there are). If you keep playing with that character, the infection will advance until you become a full-grown member of the undead horde that now walks the plains and cities of Chernarus.

Until the virus has reached its end stadium, it is attacking your survivor's brain, specifically the part that is in charge of walking (as you can see from the rest of the zombies, the walking/running style is very difficult from the survivors'). If you keep running into one direction, it's not because of a bug or a "locked key" as was said before, but because the virus is spreading in your brain.

So I'm afraid there's two bad news for you: First, you have the zombie virus in you. Second, you will have to walk in that strange way until either you die or the virus has reached its end stadium. I'm very sorry, pal.
