I wake up near a beach in the middle of nowhere and a zombie is running towards me. I could run away? Or I could just punch the living hell out the bastard? Maybe fists could just have a "knockout" effect on players and undead? Just enough time to escape/loot and get the hell out of there. Just a suggestion.

yeah lets be honest the average person isn't likely to beat a full trained soldier in hand to hand combat, especially when all they do is push you and slap you, if theres only one or two you should be able deck one, snap the others neck then stomp the first guys head in.

Honestly I'm astounded that you can't hit something with your fists... I had a hunting knife and couldn't use that either...

I'm sure, eventually, these issues will be addressed.... for now, they are annoying and stupid.

a living crazy infected with insane speed and is pretty strong, yeah you may win. but not easily.

dying after 2 infected kills with fists seems pretty useless. but i agree it should be there. just for the fun and realism.

i doubt it.

they are average humans that are driven mad. so i dont see any reason for them to be much stronger than you. and when it rushes towards you, one precise hit can knock it down. and the rest is up to you.
