Anyone willing to pay for the standalone, when it's out? I am.

Recommended Posts

I would honestly be willing to pay again for this game, if it's free that's also okay with me. But when I was a child, and even today I've wanted to make a game like this. The exact way, were you must eat, drink, and kill to survive. Granted I had other ideas, that wouldn't really work for it, like a story, and customization to characters, etc. But when I first heard about this game I was ecstatic. Even today when I play it I am ecstatic. It is just great for me personally to see this happen. I am 17 so I can't go into the gaming business just yet, and I look forward to doing so in the future, especially with helping Rocket make this game, or something of that nature. I would love it if he wanted me part of the team, but my age probably doesn't allow it. But like I said I would pay for the next standalone if need be, whatever the price tag. I just love to see an idea, that I share with another person go through like this.

I'm sorry for going off track I just really like this game, and I love the people trying to make it happen, so thanks to everyone, team, and community, make this game happen.

if the game is as it is now, then no...

The game is still unfinished u stupid imbecile...

For the game, yes I would buy it. But I would also like a few improvements like a better character system (that will surely arrive soon) and other more advanced "tent" systems where u can like build a fortress or something and have it as a base with a clan or something. Then when a server has reached like 1 month timer people has so much stuff its time to raid other castles or something like that...

'again'

You never payed for DayZ, you payed for Arma 2 and got Dayz as a free bonus.

Because it was a dumb thing to say.

I would pay $30 for the game it is now because I'm confident the final product will be amazing. I would probably pay $60 for the final product though.

would gladly pay 60 bucks for it but i expect AAA games level of polish though. meaning zero bugs unless a player deliberately looks for it. Official Servers hosted by the development etc.if you want to charge premium you have to deliver premium services

With all the bugs, fuck no. It's fun but it's too annoying. I'd pay 60 if all the bugs were fixed and it was more polished.

It depends on the level of support to the mod vs. standalone, capabilities of the standalone, and what they use to create the standalone.

If it's the same engine, then that will be a pretty big deal. I'd prefer they not use the ARMA engine, but what are you gonna' do?

Rocket has been pretty quiet on what the standalone will actually -be-.

For all we know, it'll just be Day Z and ARMA II merged and bundled into one DL, and be the same in almost every way.

You are literally too stupid to insult.

let me make it more clearly for you... if the game is just another generic shooter with added wonky zombies then no...

I got a lot of shit for saying bf3 was a complete failure when it was in alpha stage, and yeah, who plays that game today...

Depends...

Currently I'm considering uninstalling the game.. Having clocked way too many hours of playing it already and starting to get bored. I probably will wait to see the exact standalone features / quality and most of all - how the game mechanics have evolved (in other words, is it going to be just another deathmatch), and then decide.

Well he is basing it off the Minecraft model, where first it starts off as a alpha, and progress to beta, then to full release, so you don't have to buy it the first day it's out, and when it gets to the beta, that is less bugs you have to worry about, but if you don't want any bugs, I would suggest waiting a month after the game is fully released. I know I am getting it when it's in alpha, with all bugs galore.
