Quick question about vehicles...

Hey guys... if I've got several vehicles and I die... do I have to save them just like tents, or will they be ok for the seven days or whatever?

Just not sure how that works, and appreciate any insight you guys can provide.

As far as I know a vehicle _is supposed to_ save it's location every time all players exit and it's left stationary. However I wouldn't trust it personally and I don't see any reason why you wouldn't take the extra 5 seconds to save every time you touch one.

Ok here's the deal...

A vehicle will de-spawn - that's delete itself from its current location and re-spawn in one of it's spawns if it is not touched for 7 days.

However, a vehicle will stay in the last place you saved/gotten out of it.

Example.

You are at point A.

You exit your vehicle for a brief period of time.

You drive 2Km East of point A to point B.

Server restarts.

You spawn at point B without your vehicle.

Your vehicle is 2Km West of you on point A.

The save feature on vehicles is the same as tents, meaning the save option is for the gear inside the vehicle.

Each vehicle has a storage space, weapon slots, item slots etc. From 0 slots (Boats) to well over 100 (URAL)

The vehicles location is saved each time everyone exits the vehicle, though on one occasion a motorbike was saved after only i got off.

Thank you all for your help, but none of you answered my question...

I want to know specifically, IF I DIE, do I have a set amount of time in which I can save my vehicles, or will they be there regardless of deaths?

I understand the 'leaving them untouched' thing, but I want to know if I have to save them after I die.

Vehicle isn't tied to a person like a tent is, or is supposed to be. A tent is supposed to disappear after 2 days of the placers death but isn't anyway. This does not apply to vehicles.

When you save a vehicle only the location and inventory is saved regardless of who saves it.

If you die, the vehicle will stay put until moved and saved by someone else or 7 days pass and it despawns.
