ToG guys?

So me and a few guys took out this ToG clan on US 949. Just wondering if we succeeded at being stealthy or if you guys got a bead on us. We have been practicing approaches and tactics. Did we do well? How many survived?

Also... NO hiding from our guy with the therm XD

EDIT: guys asked me to ask you guys (hopefully you check forums after that helluvan ambush) see this that maybe you will want to have another friendly fight again? One of our guys hid all your bodies =( sorry about that. but this next one can be friendly.

Fair fight and a good one. Dunno about the other guys but I was on the pushbike drunk on white russians and beyond giving a damn so I was easy meat :D Respawned on the coast, stole an ATV and rode it off a cliff for the lols. Just wanted to see if it would land on the wheels. it didn't.

The other guys, that was a perfect vehicle ambush, Kudos. You killed the driver just as you were spotted, and cleaned up the others in the vehicle before they could get out. There's nothing anyone can do in that case. But at least none of us logged out like little girls who's bra is too tight.

Just curious, Where did you get a thermal scoped weapon, thought the L85A2 AWS been removed? You didn't just report yourself for injecting removed gear into the game, did you? Because that would be hilarious. Just your two guys in the barn who battle logged just before you got us, while the admin was online. (lol banned.) Don't worry, the logs will be checked now you've just posted about your "therm."

So no, your boys won't be getting a rematch. Or playing much Day Z until their mom buys them a new copy of ArmA II.

There are 55.000 active TOG members, about 140 playing Day Z, So no, you didn't get all of us.

I've found 2 thermal guns in heli crashes the past week I'm pretty sure they got put back in didn't they?

The LA52A2 AWS isn't the only thermal gun there's a FAL with it too

No there is no Fal with a thermal scope. The TWS is a hacked in weapon. The only thermal weapon is the L85 and it's not removed either. It's bugged due to the new patch.

The bug is inconsistent between players, so yes some folks can still have it. And yes it does still spawn. You can still find it on crash sites, but sometimes you can't pick it up, sometimes you can but it wont appear in your hand etc.... so just bugged for most people.

combat logging is lame but its not a bananble offense, they get banned you just gave them all they need to drop your admin in hot water with the dev/support team .....

Can we kick/ban players exploiting i.e. disconnecting to avoid death, assuming we have proof via log + video?

2. Negative, although this is considered an exploit it carries the risk of being applied too widely since it's very hard to police and verify we dont do this at the moment. A solution to this will probably make it in at a later time.

I have myself gotten kicked/banned on occasions when entering a server and the server admin was way too paranoid about new players joining in.

Updated 17th July: Please file a ticket to support.dayzmod.com with your evidence about people who DC to avoid death. This should preferably be accompanied by playerlogs, timestamp.

It won't be the first time people have earned BE bans DCing against TOGgers. Oh how we lol.

Don't worry, the logs will be checked now you've just posted about your "therm." Getting the guys who killed you banned is always funnier than a fair kill.

And from what datguy said, while you wont get an issue for having a weapon that is so widely discussed at the moment as to wether its allowed or not and while it says its allowed, its also bugged to the shit and can land anyone really using one in hot water but thats beside the point. The admins gonna check the logs and your "threat" of the admin landing in hot water would only further the reason to check the logs and send it to dayz support with the logs and timestamp of the battlelog..so i like to think of it more as 1 3/4 out of 3

check the logs send in screenies have a ball with it, random banning against server rule set agreements however are not cool

and i wouldnt make 'threats' if they were my buddies, id have got em all to loggin and see how many were banned and get them all to send a complaint making it a nice suprise, i find actually doing somthing rather then just waving my hands around and saying how im badass becasue i may or may not do somthing is generally more efficent

Eitherway was a decent ambush. (again the therms are back... maybe if you had one you would have spotted our setup in the trees) And by getting all of you, I meant all of you playing at the time. You can't even have 140 people in a server duh >.<.

This thread makes me lol. Listen what has been done is done, good work on the ambush. I was 4kms away and by the time I arrived on foot all was said and done.

As for the battle loggers a report has been sent with the log and rcon evidence. If it isn't you then fair enough and you should have nothing to be worried about. You are welcome on the server anytime and please be kind to the UAZ. It is really the only vehicle I like to drive!

Nice work on the ambush and I apologise about the thermal issue as the last I heard it was still banned. As for the 140 members that play, that is spread out over different servers at different times, not all at once.

I hope this clears any confusion you may have with the issues at hand.

Also you only got 4 of the guys and there were 7 TOG members on at the time. If we were closer, then who knows what the outcome may have been. Anyway you got the guys fair and square and that is that. No need to stoop to name calling and belittling each other (this means TOG aswell please).
