Banditry deterrant

It's not so much a deterrent, more like an inconvenience that may make people not want to turn to banditry.

Add a depression system or something, have it like the humanity system used to be, you kill a player, your depression goes up.

The only way to combat depression is doing something like giving a blood transfusion or giving someone a morphine injection, helping other players basically.

Once your depression reaches a certain level you start to feel effects like these:

1st stage - 3 murders - You start moving more slowly

2nd stage - 6 murders - Start feeling sick

3rd stage - 9 murders - every 20 minutes or so you go into the unconscious stage, but it is relatively quick to pass, say 10 seconds for the timer to go down

assuming all people have a concience and feel bad about ending others lifes or making them worse....maybe others would gain happyness by killing

No. There is no need to punish bandits. Its unfair. DayZ needs nothing like that, you should feel bad for killing someone. YOU should feel it, not the game feeling it for you. This is just butt hurt survivors trying to play the good guy. In movies the good guys always win, but in DayZ, you are just asking to get ass raped.

Why everyone hating? i just think that there should be some kind of disadvantage to being a bandit, oh and BTW i always play as a bandit.

I don't want to get rid of PVP, i think it's awesome, there just should be some kind of disadvantage to being a bandit.

And before someone starts saying 'Oh you're just butthurt for being killed by a bandit' no i wasn't, i am a bandit.

It's because people are getting annoyed seeing this kind of thread at least three times a day. Also, Rocket said he won't disadvantage banditry so there is really no point in asking for it. Certainly no point in asking a gazillion times.

Why should there be a disadvantage? If people want to kill, let them kill. It's an open world.

If you're putting disadvantages in, put in some for non-survivors, too. Don't nerf the bandits alone.

Let's make all survivors unable to wield military grade weapons.

If you nerf one side, you have to nerf the other, too. There's a thing called balance.

ive got a suggestion

1st stage - murdered x3 - You start moving more slowly

2nd stage - murdered x6 - Start feeling sick, and backpack become neon pink

3rd stage - murdered x9 - every time you get into LOS of another player your charachter falls to its knees and starts loudly begging for its life and flailing its arms about while uncontrolable to you, but it is relatively quick to pass, say 10 seconds for the timer to go down

that seems fair lets add that instead as a training aid to people who just run round like nubs, instead of trying to force some rediculous psychological profile

hey look you just survived a boat sinking and swam to shore/got washed up, for the first 10 minutes you cant run, cant move in any position but fully standing and your vission iis grey and blury like you have low health lets add thats to to stimulate the shock

I am not a noob, i have had the game since 2 days after it was released. I just think it would be a cool thing to have, they could at least test it out, if it doesn't work, scrap it.

We cannot favor one play style over another. This is a terrible idea and you're receiving no support. Give up.

quick check, do you actually commit banditry? hang around high value targets specifically to kill people and thank them for getting your ncie gear? do you rob people at gun point?

or do you ..... shoot people randomly for the lulz? sit on a roof top shooting at everything that moves?

one is banditry one is an e-peen polishing murderer

You're a noob then. These games have been around for 10 years and you think you are good after a few months? People play these games for years and still never master them.

Seriously though, people need to stop rushing to the forums to bitch and suggest a way to stop people killing them. This is a PvP focused zombie survival mod. PvP will always be around and unpunished. Stop crying, a get better at the game then other players won't be a problem for you.

This is basically a ramped up version of the humanity system. Instead of getting a skin, though, you get severe disadvantages. Really fucking stupid.

Suggestions are ok as long as they're not repetitive and already rejected by the Devs themselves... Perhaps multiple times rejection.

Also, Day Z is a sandbox game. I believe you know what that means. People can be whatever they want to be as long as it's not against the official rules. Bandits and survivors are just citizens in Chernarus. They got their own way to live their life. Just a thought.
