I lose my stuff even without hackers just by logging on..... so as I see it it's an alpha, just because you found a DMR doesn't mean you own it, after all everything is temporary in an alpha.

You would be much better off reporting bugs and filling out those boring hacking reports to help the developers. Crying about hackers only validates their activity.

Learn the map, identify key locations and explore the entire map. Don't worry about your stuff so much, sooner or later everyone has to respawn, including the hackers.

Your being trolled in game and all threads like this do is feed those trolls.

But DayZ is at breaking point. Problem is ARMAs weak when it comes to hackers. I'm sure the team would do something if they could but its out of their hands it seems. DayZ can't be fixed directly due to it being a mod, and the resources aren't there to rebuild the parent engine.

The way i see it it sucks, and it looks like the end days for the Alpha, but its a good thing for DayZ in the long run.

Bad Points:

As it stands, the mod is doing all it can on this engine.

Hackers are rife, and pretty much unstoppable.

Due to those two, a Solid standalone DayZ will be a lot longer coming.

And it might not be Rocket behind it.

Good points:

The concept has been proved as rock solid.

We know that DayZ standalone has things we want that this engine can't deliver.

That means the devs can find a engine that is very stable for their purposes.

Rockets given a few game companies a kick up the arse. (although in the long term, i don't think anything will change)

So yeah best case, we'll be getting a lot more solid Dayz like games in the future and rocket will be behind at least one of them. And hey at least BIS has made a fuckload of case they can invest in a more secure engine *some time after ARMA 3 most likely)

Identify what exactly ? Everyody knows what they are doing in and how they are doing it. Arma 2 was created with the modding community in mind. A 10 year old with a brain could go to the Bohemian interactive website, or where ever it is they keep a list of all the scripting commands these days, grab what you need, write a script and insert it. (Thats why most script kiddies use other peoples scripts because they fail at what a 10 year old could do)

The problem is that the anti cheat sofware in this case battle eye is seriously failing at detecting the inserted scripts or that its so crappy that a couple of people who do know how to code write programs to bypass the cheat detection then offer that shit up for download for the cheating little griefers.

Result: the current chaos.

Personally its not worth my time all my friends quit before me because of the "hacking" ( read using programs someone else wrote to insert scripts someone else wrote ) If this game ever goes standalone I'll be back, I hope my friends have not been discouraged so badly by the negative experiences that they'll give the standalone version a try.

Why do it though? I sort of get the whole power over genuine players thing, but seriously, its just a game. Hacking the game at the current levels of stupidity just stops it being a game. IF you were only spawning stuff/gear/vehicles to give yourself an edge, then maybe it would still be a game, not a very challenging game, but still. The whole teleport/changing things/mass kill thing I just dont get.

You seem to think that it has some sort of power over those that play genuinely, but it doesnt. It just encourages them to stop playing so the mod quickly dies and then your left hacking no-one. I mean come on, do you guys seriously suck so much at this game that you dont want to play it for the experience it is, you would rather just ruin it for yourself as well as others? Im not very good at all, but I am learning how to be better at it, but I would never consider cheating, let alone these stupid hacks.

Nor is it directly aimed at you, its just there doesnt seem to be many people admitting to hacking, so its in your direction, just not specifically at you. People like you do not bother me in the slightest, Ill just move along to another game, easy come, easy go. Its more about just understanding the reason for doing it and as to why try ruining a game that has so much potential?

Well, its probably the only ass, or anything else, you'll end up fucking during your insignificant existence. Unless you ended up in jail somehow but that would be bumsex on the receiving end. Since going to jail would require you to leave your basement you should be safe. They don't write scripts to hack really "important" stuff yet and even if they did I doubt even you would be dumb enough to use it. Then again Einstein once said there were only two things he thought to be infinite, the universe and human stupidity but he wasn't too sure about human stupidity.

Meantime I'll just enjoy making people like you ragequit in other games. With people like you I mean people who have the motor skills of a dead parrot who can't deal with the fact that most of the words 6 year olds outplay them. There is no greater recognition in gaming than to be called a cheater or a hacker in games when you don't actually do so. In that respect its much like bumsex to to you.
