Please please help

Hello, i installed the game today and am having problems. When i load the game up the Dayz servers won't let me join, they have red X's on the left side. Also, my version says 1.61 then required says 1.61 but is in red. I put the files from here http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/31571-hotfix-build-1723-rolling-update/ The torrent files into the @Dayz folder. Also, i put the 91568 build folder right into the operation arrowhead folder. Can you please tell me what im doing wrong? I can't use sixlauncher as my computer for some reason says a Fatal error occurred while installing. I do not care for the six one so please just answer the first question.

Make sure your beta patch version matches theirs.

The newest beta patch (95168) will prevent you from joining the majority of servers as it's technically 1.62 according to the setup, and most servers are 1.61 (with the 95099 beta patch).

I'm not sure where you got your setup instructions from, but I recommend the wiki:

did you buy both games on steam? retail? did you combine arma:free with OA? there is a section for each scenario

Ok, i think i see now, but why can't i download 95099? it tells me theres a newer version instead of letting me download. So do i just have to wait?

http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php you want the one in green 95168. it doesn't matter where you put it. you just run it.

then if you make sure you have the .rar files in place and uncompressed, all you have left to do is edit the launch shortcut i think.

and its good to have ran arma at least once. and ran OA at least once to init some stuff.

plus you may need to manually update battleye. http://www.battleye.com/download.html

if you still can't figure it out, it may do you well to just troubleshoot six updater or follow the wiki's six updater links/instructions. it will handle everything if you can get it to work.

Thank you! i now see servers and i am so close! I followed the wiki instructions and i was so close. I was entering the game and it then booted me back to the server finding screen and said in red on the bottom left that " You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted. dayz_code, dayz_weapons, dayz_equip, dayz_vehicles " Please sir you are helping me a ton im almost there! 3 hours trying to get this to work... Please

ok so most likely its just a launch thing at this point. now for me...

I bought both on steam so i just follow the "steam beta patch installation" where it says to add ";@dayz" to one of the lines of text in a file called _runA2CO_beta.cmd. some times i have to double check that file when i install new beta patches. you run that .cmd to launch the game. you can make a shortcut to it if you want for your desktop. dont bother trying to launch it from steam :)

make sure you join servers that are up to date

If this is the case i am also on steam. Did i possibly attach this in the wrong place? This is the line and where i put @dayz let me know if it is in the wrong spot.

your just missing a semi colon ";" between "ca" and @dayz" should look like this:

if its not that then double check that you have 14 files in your @dayz/addons/ folder. (.pbo and .bisign file extensions)
