The Final Suggestion List

Suggestions on this forum can be broken down into three categories, which are repeated endlessly:

Things that will surely make it in the game eventually: For example

More skins

More Weapons

Solving DC / Alt-F4 issue

Zombies hitting through walls / teleporting

Environmental effects

Subtle character changes (ie beards, blood on hands etc)

Fixing of most bugs

Some things that defintely wont make it into the game: For example

Punishing / Identifying bandits

Safe Zones

NPC's

Currency

Infecting players / Coming back as a Zombie

And some things people should just STOP complaining and posting about: For example

Starter Weapons

PvP

Zombie sight / hearing being too high

I get these by listening to what Rocket says he wants the game to be. He wants to provide a canvas and let us loose.

Have i missed anything? Because i am mighty sick of seeing multiple similar threads posted. And i am aware of the irony in that i am probably repeating what has been said as well.

We do not need more threads on these topics - add your comments to an already made thread, please.

Right, after getting that off my chest I am going to Green Mountain now and i dont expect to return.

Wow.

Rocket posts frequently, gives plenty of interviews. You have to be a complete idiot, or not at all interested in DayZ's development to completely miss the amount of information that Rocket is constantly dropping.

I see you are clearly bothered by suggestions, I don't understand why you continue to read threads in the Suggestions catagory if that is the case.

People have a right to their opinions and I find it pretty distasteful that you should express yours which ironically wants other people to keep theirs to themselves.

I find it funny though that you've picked topics that bother you and insist that Rocket holds the same exact opinion. When in fact a common complaint is how horrible the inventory system is, and funny enough Rocket holds the same opinion and is probably working on redesigning it for a future update.

Opinions are just like assholes, everyone has them and realistically it's Rocket's choice of whether or not he wants to listen to them.

Then again you're just trolling so I don't expect much in the way of an intelligent response back. :emptycan:

When people are constantly posting the same suggestions, and burying good suggestions, the entire community as a whole suffers. Most of the people in this community are literally too stupid to spend 30 seconds using the search function to make sure that they aren't posting a suggestion that has already been posted hundreds of times. It's arrogant, and quite frankly, frustrating to see. It's very clear that most of the people on the DayZ forum don't actually give a shit about DayZ's development - they just want to post things they think would be "cool" to be in the game, or posting endless suggestions about punishing bandits, or whining about any other number of things.

No. I thoroughly outlined a reason for having a starter weapon, along with a system that assigned you a random weapon to correspond to with the chances of your character actually having said weapon. But hey, nice try, asshat.

Nah i think you need to make it 5 catagories:

4. A few half decent ideas that the community is devided upon, and are ultimately up to Rocket to decide upon. These are generally snowed under by the 3 catagories above.

5. The very rare Gem of an Idea, that the community agrees upon, and may or may not already be on Rockets list. These seem to get lost as well, as they have hardly any discussion on them seeing everybody agrees, and are snowed under by 3 catagories above.

Which would clearly show that the thing you care about are the halfdecent and rare gems, that indeed get snowed under by repeated ideas ... there is one way 'we' as a community can do something about that though, REPORT doubles and include the older thread in the report. Keep doing this and some people may finally 'get' that they need to use search ... theoretically Mods would police the forum in regards to the rules, but there are only so few and so many non searching posters, so help those mods out and make their live a lil easier, and in doing so improve the forum experience for all of us...
