What happens when you log off?

Are you immune from attack when you log out? Do you still consume water and food?

EDIT: You do not consume water/food while logged out, you used to, but it was removed.

Yes, you are *immune* when you log off, and yes, you still consume food and water to a lesser degree.

PS as the above poster says The food aspect may have been removed. It was never really an issue though.

Logging out only saves your location. You are safe, but it is highly unaccepted if you abuse it, say if you are being shot but log out instead to avoid death. You do not consume food or water when logged out.

I'm kinda new to the game, and yesterday i logged out at one of the airfields inside a container.

But this morning when i logged in i spawned at the coast with no gear or equipment... Does anyone knows why this happend?
