This is a simulator not a game.

Extremely flawed logic. Just because something isn't working correctly, does not negate it's existence.

But bugs devour all existence. Dark puns!

Most of the time it feels like a Trekking Simulator

LOL, you got that right. Personally I'm getting sick of running around the map endlessly. It's getting really boring. I want my Huey!

I see dayz players say this all the time, mostly the roleplayers. What about dayz is different from other games that makes it a simulator?

Only hipster players love to brag about this, so please, ignore it.

The game includes a lot of different features that you don't see in other games, it's bring a lot of immersion when you're playing.

Just keep in mind that calling it a simulator is a little too much - zombies? Really? - but it TRIES TO SIMULATE things that we also have in real life like hungry, thirsty, tension, etc.

It's an amazing game, different from every other game i have played before, but i don't agree with the simulator thing.

It'll be far more of a sim once all stats are removed other than 'time alive'. Seems there's too much of an obsession with stats and rankings in games these days. Of all games, this HAS to become the exception.

Given that you "play" this "simulator", saying its not a game is like saying "That's a square, not a rectangle!"

You get to have your own opinions, but you can't have your own facts.

This game is being developed as a post-apocalyptic survival simulator and is built using an engine that is used to create simulators for military training and such around the world. Your understanding of the game does not affect its nature.

Plays, looks, feels like a game... It's a simulator game just like The Sims or any kind of vehicular type sims. Regardless, it's just like any other PC games that you play with a keyboard, mouse, and some of your brain.
