How do you take tents down if you put one up?

Recommended Posts

Mouse over the tent, wait for the option to pop up, click it.

Run it over with a vehicle. That'll take it down. :D

You move mouse over the tent until you get the rearm symbol (the gun with ammo next to it and circle around).

Scroll your mouse and you should get a "Pack tent" option.

Note 1: Anything inside the tent is scattered all over the immediate area when tent is packed.

Note 2: If you placed the tent, then got killed, you can't repack the tent. Only the OWNER of the tent can repack it and relocate it. Keep in mind that DayZ has permadeath, meaning anything your character owned, such as tents, are lost if you are killed. It doesn't matter that it's same account and you just respawned again. The game treats tents belonging to your dead character the same way it treats tents owned by others when you approach those, and you can't repack someone elses tent.

You don't. You can't take it down and re-use it once you place it. That's the whole point really. Or you can just run it over with a vehicle, if you really want to take it down. ;)

This is untrue (read my above post). I have personally placed tents and then later relocated them.
