Stuck at "Wait for host"

I installed the new update today via SixLauncher. Unfortunately I'm not able to join a server since the new update. Some servers are stuck at "Wait for host" while other servers tell me something like "BattleEye initialisation failed". Did I do something wrong? Or do I just have to wait until the servers get updated?

Important note re 1.61 Beta Patch (FIX INSIDE)

Recently the ARMA 2 OA Betas have bumped version to v1.61.

With more recent v1.61 versions, also BattlEye needs to be updated, currently, this is a manual process.

You can find the updated BattlEye installer in the Expansion\beta folder (Setup_BattlEyeARMA2OA and RFT), after updating the Beta with SIX Launcher or Updater.

The updated BattlEye is also included with the latest manual <a href="http://www.arma2.com...eta-patch.php">Beta installers as well.

To successfully use the latest Beta patch, please update BattlEye by running above mentioned setup installer.

Apologies for the inconvenience, we're working on improving how we deal with these special circumstances,

luckily the situation should be temporary until BI releases the final v1.61 patch, hopefully soon.

step 4 copy and paste in step 1 and run ARMA2_OA_Build_95054

step 5 play and enjoy have confimed it works

server must be 1.7.2.3 beta 95054

I'm getting the same thing after updating what 5 or so minutes ago. A guy in mumble said you need to download a new beta from another source then sixupdater since it glitches like that. Unsure how to do so or i'd give you more info.

Thanks for your help... but SixLauncher just updated itself and now everything seems to run perfectly again. So all I needed was just a little patience. :)

ok i tried to follow this as best i could but cant work it out. i just want to play.......

This patch is going to make people rage, having so many problems with it raawwrrr

God dammit I just want to play and no matter how I try to install the update for BI wether it be via a manual update or the apps in progam files it just WONT WORK! Does the server have to be running the new patch or somthing?

lol its okay now the server has to be running the lastest patch to work cheers guys :)

I do not use Six Updater so I will give you my personal rules.

Always run with the lastest beta build.

Always join a server that is running the same build.

A lot of people have been having trouble over the last few beta updates and I'm pretty sure that most are caused by not respecting the 2 Always Rules.

I have been playing without any hicups...

There will be a new ArmAII Official Version in the near future (1.6.1), so the beta releases should calm down and the mod can progress in a more stable fashion.
