Losing items when logging out

As of now I'm still having this problem, I'm guessing/hoping that it will fix over time because it has to have something to do with the "hive server", can't see that this is a client side problem.

Wow, ok. Seems like the problem for me now is solved. I've managed to switch servers with my gear still intact two times. Hoping this will last.

I did not do anything to fix this, just wait. Had the problem for about 2 days.

This same thing has been going on for me for about a week and its still going on even after the patch on every server. I'm getting very restless at this point.

Dude this is so shit , just spent hours on this game this has happened atleast 5 times for me, but when i finaly get a M107 and all the goodies then i go to have a little break, didnt even leave the server just left the mission and waited in the lobby, went back in to get spawned on the coast with shitty painkillers , some dev or admin has to get on this, so crap.

But i heard previously that this usually happens but if you kill yourself or get killed youll reset with your things again, but still this doesnt happen all the time

I was just on a regular Nz server when i lost my things, logged back in and it said create new Char. , press escape then itll spawn you somewhere, Log back out then switch the server to Expert or a Veteran serv.

Give that a go just worked for me then , good hunting everyone

Edit again: Just went to log back into my previous regular server and it pulled the new char. created, so my advice stay on the server that it pulled your actual character

I fixed it atleast for me. I had a couple of different problems with dayz like it didn't save inventory and the debug modinor was green and big. Before i installed dayz manually but i tried installing with sixupdater and all my problems were solved. Just played 5 minutes and got my self an hatchet and a couple of empy cans just for the test. Then i aborted and joined back in. I was on the same place with all equipment. then i tried to quit the game and start the server again. Again same place, same equipment (i should have taken a picture of my happy face :P ). Then i tried changing servers and everything was saved. Try this out guys. Worked for me. And again sry for bad english. hope you understood everything i said :D

gonna bump this a bit ... lost 4 Stanag Mags and 2 pieces of cooked meat just because of login/logout ... thankfully nothing that cant be replaced but at this pace ill be out of ammo in 2 days without firing a single shot ...

i think this is what happened to me lost my backpack saw and g17 but still had what was in my inventory and i spawned in the very north west of the map but not in the debug plains just the very NW.

Ok I just read some forum entries, the HIVE is overloaded and thats why we have lag/-spikes atm.The same goes with the inventory. It is just not saved on the HIVE and there is simply nothing what we can do about it.

I have the SAME problem as well. Had a TON of equipment, even played 2 nights ago. But when I logged on last night I was back on the coast with only the starter equipment and I had not died :(

This seems to be a persistant issue. Why do they not give the ability to save locally if they are having such issues with the Hive?

the update should of fixed that problem if not. Uninstall all the programs and get rid of everything.

After that reinstall both programs and get it back to where it is working with the six launcher if that don't work try usen Dayz commander. It worked fine for me after the update. you might need to update as well check that. Also try restarting I had the same problem and it worked after I uninstalled and reinstalled then updated. as i said in my previous post, if you play on a verteran server youll have you gear, if you change to a regular server or such its gonna respawn you with fresh gear. Go back to the verteran or whatever difficulty server you were playing on

Yeah I've been having the exact same problems. I've basically given up playing this mod because there's not really a point for me to play. I can't even gather food and drinks to help survive because when I log back in everything is gone. Hopefully this is fixed quickly because I really want to continue playing.
