Losing items when logging out

Well, I've got a problem atm when whenever I log out/disconnect from a server I lose all my stuff in my inventory and backpack. The items resets to the beginning setup with painkillers, bandage, the cayote bp and a flashlight. Everything else stays the same, I'm at the same location, the same blood amount and so on when connecting to a server again.

And this problem is on legit servers, not private/outdated ones.

I've tried making a new profile, reinstalling OA, reinstalling battle eye and installing the latest beta patch. Nothing have so far worked.

EDIT: This is not a "one time" thing, it's happening on all servers and to every item that I pick up EVERYTIME I logout/disconnect.

Some help would be much appreciated

EDIT: Wow, ok. Seems like the problem for me now is solved. I've managed to switch servers with my gear still intact two times. Hoping this will last.

I did not do anything to fix this, just wait. Had the problem for about 2 days.

I've been trying on multiple servers, connecting, looting an item and reconnecting to find that the item is gone. And also killing myself but with no success.

Guildie having the same issue. We tried deleting his player profiles and starting fresh but had no luck. Tried alot of shit really and still no joy. Have you tried the new beta patch? It was only released today so if may fix it.

Due to my research this seems to be something with the HIVE server and corrupt player save files, not client/server based.

This should be pinned imo.

Lost all my freaking stuff 3 times now... 2 times to tents that just get wiped but still there, and third time just now to a backpack that just disappeared and my sidearm switched to what it was like an hour ago... someone please fix this it makes the game pointless to play if its not fixed...

Lost my L85A2 today as well. Switched servers after one crashed and it was gone (I had the gun for more than a day, and it never left my primary slot). I just lost a FN FAL from my backpack also... a few hours after losing the L85...

I'm having this problem too, moslty with my backpack and sidearm slots.

I was thinking of writing a support type ticket asking them to completely delete my character and create a new one for me, or something such as that.

yeah no matter what i do i join a server and i start with the beginning essentials where i last logged off with none of the gear i looted...

Nah the most recent patch brought it back, I was so stoked about having it too! I had never seen a pair of Nvgs that weren't on some server hopping combat logger, or an L85 in over 400 hrs in DayZ. Last night I find 2 pairs of Nvgs AND an L85, love the thermal. I knew it wouldn't last lol...

Been having this problem for a few days now, can confirm for myself that the new beta patch ( 95054 ) hasn't fixed the issue. It's quite an annoying problem seeing as all character progress isn't saved which virtually makes the game "unplayable" to an extent. Regardless, I'm hoping this can be fixed soon so i can go back to playing as per normal.

Co sign on this one.. DAAAMN! I've found my first hi tech weapon in a heli crash, an m107 50 cal sniper, i've been babying it like gollum babying the ring, and *POF* gone..!! Haven't even tried the damn rifle yet, not a single shot ffs!

This happens to me also.... lost the 24 slot Coyote pack, M4A3 CCO, M107 sniper, sidearm, all my food, water bottles, tools etc... everything i get resets back to starter gear when i log off and back on. I havent found any fixes for this issue and its starting to piss me off. I dont even feel like playing this game anymore because of this.
