Ive had hackers spawn tanks ontop of inaccessible rooftops and such, quite funny to watch while passing. I also wouldn't mind doing a thunderdome once, just to experience that (assuming they follow the rules and dont just wipe out the winner)

So? Aslong as they've got an icon they're good to go. Not like they're absurdly overpowered or anything, the ammo is rare as fuck and it deals little to no damage to the chest. But why would you give up possibly the best handgun (if you're able to score purely headshots) for a useless radio? :P

Found 2 camo clothings in the office/school whatever in elektro yesterday. And they definately work, even if they seem a bit low ress compared to the regular suit.

Who would want to carry that? especially when in a firefight, you'd stick out like a christmas tree to a sniper with that.

Players (snipers specifically) Never died to zombies, they're more like a big neon sign telling other players you are there. And while we're at that subject, zombies really need to be static and not just be there to reveal other players (unless you've aggroed them)

Am i the only who feels bad about taking other players lives? Every time I've tried the "hey man, friendly here... want to travel together a bit?" I get shot (this has happened 4-5 times now). So now i have to shoot on sight, otherwise I'm gonna get shot myself. Its a vicious cycle of mistrust and assuming the other person is gonna shoot if they don't do it first. Is there anything i can do to be more friendly? I'm not willing to take the risk of moving in a massive circle around the spotted players just to avoid them.

Happened to me aswell, but has only occured once. Finally found an m24, and i lose it 10 minutes later when i went for lunch :(

I saw some guy putting on a camo right infront of me today, left civilian clothing. He might have carried it for a while and just not put it on, not sure. Tried shooting him but ofcourse the guy alt f4'd after the 1st shot (only hit him in the arm or something)

Well, im plenty capable of staying alive and avoiding hot spots, but its quite boring just going about without a destination, and deer stands have been sadly empty lately. Almost hoping for an honorable death at some point so i actually have something to achieve by going through towns :P

So, for those of us who go play solo, what do you do during the day/evening when the gangs start showing up? Do you just go for the villages? Farm deer stands? Looking for worthwhile stuff to do that doesn't involve running into gunfire (all military areas)

Haven't found one myself, but I've only been playing for a week or so. Certainly want one, but i wouldn't recommend wearing one (your character doesn't save if you wear it).

Depends, if they only have a handgun (no rifle on back) and im at a safe distance i won't shoot unless they're directly in my path.

Me and my friend had the lightning strike the ground about 100 meters away from us.. Didn't do anything to the ground but got a discussion going on whether or not lightning would do anything to a player. Ive also experienced bleeding, shock, knockout and bones broken from crawling through a building when i just started, didn't take any shots or anything... Just got all the effects.

Reinstalled, and it seems to be stable now, forcefully exit a few times just to try and break it... Thanks for the advice given, while it didn't work for THIS issue it may work for an issue in the future.

Reinstalling again, the fix seems to be to never turn off Dayz and just remain ingame forever, atleast that way the game wont break itself.
