how do you sit down?

Seen a few screenshots with people sitting down; how do you do that?

Depends on your keybindings, but I'm pretty sure the default is " ' "

Pretty sure it's the ; key... Or one of the ones near it.

But sitting is pretty useless, can't use gun, take a while get back to a combat ready position.

But I guess if you just want a picture or video it would look cool.

Really ,really take time to explore those keybinds, there are loads of useful ones.

It takes only a little effort but you will be rewarded.

Putting yourself in a position where you can't use a gun for a while has its value. A bandit will still shoot you, but a nervous survivor with an itchy trigger finger might feel a little bit at ease.

That is true, I never actually thought of it that way... I guess it's similar to saluting...

** yawn ** to all the 'read the keybinds' comments - this community is a bit pathetic - a simple question has a simple answer that some people replied with just fine.

I could have looked in the keybinds but instead chose to ask the 'community' - so thanks to the people that actually told me the answer and some more info regarding no weapon etc appreciate the time taken.

In order to sit, you first have to stand.

While that might sound very Yoda or old indian saying, what I mean is you can't sit from a crouched position.

Gotta go from crouch to stand, then hit sit key (whichever one you bound to sit).
