How did it happen.

How can all the survivors of this zombie apocalypse be Haemophiliacs.

I mean the average human can clot a wound before they bleed out but we seem to have lost that ability.

My story starts after the feared location reset where we all ended up on the beach. I spawned on a zed and he attacked me doing 200 points of damage, I shot him in the face and started bandaging myself unfortunately I had no bandages and I started running for dead survivors near me in hope but alas nothing, Needless to say after 2 days alive I bled to death from 11800 health to zero.

What I put forward is a limit to how much you bleed out say 1000 or 2000 but to bleed out all your life is crazy.

good idea

maybe bleed 4000 blood max at a time

that way you could bleed 3 times till your death unless replaced

If this is a suggestion it should be in the suggestions sub-forum.

I agree to an extent. I think the bleeding should cap after 8000 blood.

But I admit, I really like that pandemonium of running around bleeding looking for bandages.

I think the bleeding rate could be dropped after a while. But not just stop, its not like you have a tiny scratch.

Be happy you don't have to stitch your open wounds together.

The bleed out timer is very slow --that's why people complain, "I shot 3 mags in the guy and he was still running!".

I'd like better: Zombie hits you once, you're down; twice you're dead.

Then rifles will have thier normal Lethality; rather than this carebear settings.

You also have to take into account what caused you to bleed. If you fall and break your leg, I am sure the body can cope with that on it's own, we have for thousands of years, however, getting shot, that won't heal itself, the wound is generally too large to clot before blood loss becomes potentially fatal.

Will move to suggestions. I like this constructive feedback - keep it up!

Cheers.

But that's just it. Sometimes you can be hit 6+ times by a zombie and not start bleeding. Other times you can be bumped a bit and start bleeding like a fountain. And while I understand where you're coming from with the panic of looking for bandages.

Often times you aren't able to kill the horde that has started because to kill the one you have on you brings how many more with it.

And the bandaging time takes FAR too long to be able to get a lead on the zombies before bandaging.

So the clotting of the wound should be there. If not at the very least. After ex-so long of bleeding out at the normal rate that clot forms and then the bleeding slows to a very small rate. Possibly affected by running. Due to running and the heart pumping faster even with a clot it would still bleed due to the increased blood as it wouldn't be scabbed or closed as a wound.

But an overall cap to how long the blood comes out would be nice. Simply due to the fact that when you start bleeding and are being chased you almost always seem to run into more of them. Never getting that chance to bandage yourself up, Often times goes from 12000 to 0. As I've listened to friends talk over skype about. He got hit and literally just had to keep running til he was out of blood.

How about the amount you could bleed out depends on the damage the actual wound did? Like a scratch from a zombie will clot within 20 minutes, but a bullet to the leg will take much longer.
