Firing modes for the machine guns are still wrong, even after the list was updated.

Perhaps if you could pinpoint the fault? Looks accurate to me.

I flinched at the Enfield's audible range :P

It is loud as fuck! The only guns actually louder and the AS50 and the M107.

Right, I got that, but you list all the machine guns as "S, FA". If you look back at Day Z DB, you will see this is not the case; they all have only one firing mode: FA. Also, Semi is short for semi-automatic, meaning the rifle chambers the next round as part of the firing, but only fires one shot per trigger pull. This is different from burst fire, which involves firing a burst of rounds with each trigger pull, and is actually closer to what you call "Single".

I've handled a MK 48 and currently have a M249, and I've never seen any firing mode but auto on either of them.

Once more: you have some machine guns listed as having S (aka single or semi) and FA (full auto) modes. This is wrong. Machine guns do not have a semi-automatic mode. Nor are they listed as having them.

Three things.

First, Point # 5 at the bottom of the chart explicitly states: "S=Single, B=Burst (or what you call semi), and FA=Full Auto". S does not equal Semi. If you cared to read the whole thing, it would be evident.

Second,The Mk 48 Mod 0 is listed as FA, as in Full Auto. I don't know why you provided the link for that. Once again, maybe you didn't read the chart correctly.

Third, The M240 and M249 SAW are listed as S and FA (Single and Full Auto). The links you provide are one source of information. Again, if you cared to read Point #1, you would know I use two additional sources, DayZWiki and a Reddit thread. The DayZWiki lists their firing modes as "unknown". However, the Reddit thread lists both Single and Full-Auto modes. It has also been confirmed to me in-game that you can fire both weapons in single, carefully controlled shots.

So again, please point out to me how this information is "wrong". Unless you want to admit that you are trolling a helpful topic for no other reason than the fact that you have nothing better to do?

:)

I am holding an M249 right now. I'm cycling through all my throwables, and there is no "single" firing mode.

Furthermore, while I don't expect you to know that semi-automatic firing is the same as a single firing mode (minus the potential question of whether the next round chambers automatically), I do expect you to hear it after I say it twice.

Blow me off if you want, but what I'm saying is true.

You're right. I'm not sure why he is acting like you're full of shit. None of the LMGs have a single fire mode, and being able to tap the trigger and fire one bullet at a time is not the same as having a semi auto mode.

I play devil's advocate a lot. Many people say they're open to new information or to being corrected, but for many of them, when they actually get shown that they're wrong, they lash out at others to protect their own egos.

There's not always a reason for people's hate. It's often irrational, and if it is, about the only thing you can do is say your piece and walk away.

L85A2 is still in game.

I will update it if I get more confirmations.

You are right in that single = semi-auto. I stand corrected, and I apologize.

But you did not provide any counter argument for the Reddit thread that lists two modes for the two said weapons. You say you are cycling through and see no additional modes. I will test both weapons in game now, and if that is correct, update the chart.

Thanks for the input.

My beans. You must have them.

Thanks. Nom nom. BTW your food meter is red.

No wonder the damn crowbar was so weak, shit

It is the weakest weapon in the game. Sure the damage matches some sidearms, but you have to practically hug the Zed to apply it.

I flinched at the Enfield's audible range :P

Never use it, unless it means the difference between life and death! And then get ready for imminent death!

Thanks for taking the time to make this! Highly appreciated.

Took some time, but I was also tired of having to click a link for each weapon.

geat post Jehangir, thanks for putting this out there

You are most welcome, I am glad it is helping people out!

L85A2 is still in game.

A clanmate also confirmed this. Will update shortly.

Enfield may not be correct. I can assure you that it does not do 12,499 dmg.

Three times I died to it say otherwise.

Lee Enfield is so powerful. So retarded.

False ...

It has it's cons too.

And is also a good chance for new players to actually get into PvP against seasoned bandits full of loot.

Quit complaining.
